Seems like the state/family/psychiatrist/salvation home also failed here. Those kids should have been taken from that mother when she was diagnosed skitzo, and/or living with such young children on the street. I'd be more then happy to pay for the continued safe living of those kids(tax's), rather then their mom's jail cell.

I agree with most everyone else, her card should be up.

If you have had a family member with serious mental illness, perhaps you get a different perspective.

A terrible crime apparently committed, so someone else has to die? Someone in such terrible mental anguish that they may have killed their own children?

I wish everyone a happy life, free from physical and mental illness.

Oldfogey, I'm surprised that you feel pity for her. She murdered her children. A lot of murderers have mental health issues... I don't see how that makes it ok. This summer, in a little town about 350Km from here, 5 young RCMP officers were shot to death by a man with mental health issues.
