Rhetoric.

-I am educated.
-I watch the news and stay informed.
-I CHOSE to go into the military.
-I CHOOSE to support our president and the current policies.

I'm tired of seeing this crap. Anything can be taken out of context or contorted to support what someone is trying to convey.

"The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country."
- John F. Kerry

"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."

- John F. Kerry

"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any Governor, and that one word is 'to be prepared'."

- John F. Kerry

"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future."
- John F. Kerry

"The future will be better tomorrow."
- John F. Kerry

"We're going to have the best educated American people in the world."
- John F. Kerry

"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made."
- John F. Kerry

"We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe."
- John F. Kerry

"Public speaking is very easy."
- John F. Kerry

"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."
- John F. Kerry

"We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur."
- John F. Kerry "
For NASA, space is still a high priority."
- John F. Kerry

"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."
- John F. Kerry

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
- John F. Kerry
"It's time for the human race to enter the solar system."
- John F. Kerry

and....imagine the person stating this shaking a finger at the camera and the American people: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky"

Look bigger picture. The world is an unstable place and we're protecting OUR interests, present and future. Stabilize things now, or go to war with Iran and/or other nations in the future. Which is the better choice? You're in the service, you chose to be there. Life isn't always as simple as a CNN sound byte.

I remember sinking my head to my hands as the shock and awe started. I remember shame as Colen powel stood before the UN with his speach about the WMD's. I remember a friend not coming home.

I would have supported the war if we would have went for the right reasons. Funny thing is it would have been simple. We have a no fly zone. The Iraqis fired upon us mulitiple times. Lets blow the **** out of um for that, But no our government has to lie to us. please gentlemen don't treach us as mear consumers of CNN or any other reality tv show. do things for the right reasons.

Simple yes but imposible they must have some grand sceem or reason.

Very sorry about your friend.

Both Democrats and Republicans supported the effort based on information available at the time.

Since you brought up the fly zone, lets not forget that Saddam ignored Resolutions for over a decade that were drawn up by the UN after the first Gulf War.

If anyone thinks that their favorite political party is "better" than the other in terms of honesty, rhetoric, intellect, or intent, I think Iraq may have enough sand in which to continue to bury your head.

Jaime, is there any subject that could possibly come up in which your response wouldn't be defined by the stance of the conservatives? And yet you criticize others for living by faith. So much for critical judgement.

Carefully chosen list, carefully worded descriptions.
I especially liked seeing McCain's name in the Chicken list. That's class right there.
It would be simple to choose names and descriptions to make a list the opposite of that.

Re: Republicans sending men to die in battle

Strange list. I noticed Alabama Senator Howell Heflin (deceased 5/05) on the list. Not only has the man retired then passed he would have been all over the Democrats like stink on a skunk for they way they are acting. While a Democrat he was conservative and very pro-military. Also while the list has chickens where is the list of war protesters that aided foreign forces
