| Iran go boom? How long before we get to see fireworks? Does anyone think they'd try to launch a nuke? |

| Re: Iran go boom? I can't say that any nukes will be launched, but I can see a new Mid East invasion if things keep going the direction they are.
If we keep invading Country after Country I'm not going to be able to afford gasoline. This crap keeps driving the prices up.
Besides, if we keep with the invasion theme before long we are going to see a 3rd World War. I wasn't here for the 1st or the 2nd and I really don't care to see the 3rd, 4th, or any after. |

Glad to hear you're worried about the right things too.
Cuz God forbid, gas prices go up! |

| Re: Iran go boom? They are still a few years away from a true nuclear device, although they could be building dirty bombs for terrorists as we speak.
The U.N. gave them a deadline of April 28th to stop, so it will all be done at the end of the month. Those U.N. deadlines are always set in stone and nobody dares to defy them.
We won't be invading Iran any time soon. |

Just because some financial "guru" quotes the war in Iraq as a reason for inflated gas prices doesn't make it true. It's still a supply and demand product and Iraq wasn't putting out enough oil with the oil-for-food program to make this large an impact on prices.
I'm with BDA on this one. Let's let the might of the UN sanctions drag this diplomacy out for 10-15 years. This way, when we attack, they'll actually have nuclear weapons. |

| Re: Iran go boom? Don't know if anyone has ever read about Nostradamus or not. His predications are about 70% accurate. He predicited WW1 and WW2 within 3 years. WW3, according to him is supposed to be within the next 5 years and will start in the Middle East. Let's hope this is one of 30% that are wrong. |

| Re: Iran go boom? Nostradamous was an idiot that babbled a lot. You have to twist all that crap around to make it say anything real.
I could prophesy if I wanted to, but it woudn't make it true. I'm sorry, I said prophesy, I meant to say guess. |

| Re: Iran go boom? We know that they have 1/3 of the population of the Earth inside their borders and would probably wipe us out if we got into a war with them. We also have no reason to get into it with them. If you haven't noticed most of the goods you buy today are manufactured there. |

Beyond that, they are no match - other than the fact that they were given ICBM technology by our previous White House occupant. If they decided they wanted to invade us for some unknown reason they would be wiped out on the way.
If we were ever faced with that possibility we would most likely end up choosing the same option we did last time we were faced with the possibility. That would be nukes. Had we invaded the island of Japan in 1945 it would have been an absolute bloodbath on both sides.
The problem is that this time, both sides will have nukes to lob.
But again, there is no reason for it to come to that. |
