| Re: How high do you think it'll go this year? hummm in my area its already 3.19 a gallon, I'm going to say I think we'll see as high as 3.35 this year here unless something like katrina happens again, then well over 3.35 I love these high prices, everyone is bailing on the cage and buying bikes, scooters, etc. I love it. Hell I just bought a truck and everyone at work was laughing at me...... Now they are curious how many miles my bike gets because they see it all the time and NOT my truck which sits at home. A tank of gas in the truck lasts me a month and I work with guys that fill their's up 1-2 times a week! YIKES, I can't imagine spending 180 in gas a week!...hahahah. |

That thing would die before it made it across the street at full throttle unless all the recall work has been performed. |

| Re: How high do you think it'll go this year? We will see over $4.00 on the signs by the end of the year. Add a dollar for 2007.
I've noticed an increased interest in people making their own alcohol stills to convert garbage and bad grain. Its going to be the oil version of exploding meth labs. |

However, though I'm not "in the know" about such matters, I wonder how much overall capacity would really be hit? I just read an article that a large number of rigs in the Gulf of Mexico are being overbid by other markets such as the Persian Gulf, and heading out.
$5.00/gal in 07? Nope...don't believe it. My bet is by then prices will have declined a bit from current, or held steady (which with inflation is a drop in itself). |
