I think it doesnt really matter to the media if it is true or not they just havnt caught onto it yet. Just last month Tom Leykis was on the air about Googling "failure" with "feeling lucky" also remember reuters and their pictures? What about Dan Rather? The media just needs time to catch up with the internet and or report falseties.

Nothing on main-stream news, or even snopes, but the bloggers are on fire....

I'm pretty sure you can find much bigotry and erosions here though:

Or of course, what's also interesting, is that there is the atmosphere in the country where bloggers make posts like this and the environment is such that a reasonable person, such as myself, has no trouble believing it COULD be true.

Whether true or not, the current administration's actions and reactions, along with current world events, have led to an environment where stuff like this is not even really surprising...

So do we hold responsible "the shepard" or "the sheep"?

The disconnect I don't understand is why people rush to assume it's true before asking basic questions...

If you choose to loose your faith in the American system because you disagree with the current talking heads, then you shame on you for becoming old and cynical...

The ship will always right itself from rolls of both directions...overcorrection is the natural mode of steering a very large mass...if you are focusing on the inputs at the time of the oscillation you are only commiting yourself to a PIO....

Re: Further Erosion of the 1st Ammendment

Environment is not system, c'mon, as a man who loves semantics, you certainly can appreciate the difference.

It is the collective mood created in the country...and as I said in the post above yours, a different CIC will alter it, we'll see how.

The climate in Kelly Fornea should not give one leave to shut off the brain though....

The reporter at MSNBC is him or herself uncertain wheter the detaining officials were airline or government personel. Not the way I would like to see things handled here, but still small potatoes in my book.

Re: Further Erosion of the 1st Ammendment

FoxNews this morning said it was an air marshall who brought it to the attention of a flight attendant.

Funny, but the saying on the shirt "We will not be silent" or whatever it was isn't exactly threatening. Maybe TShirt Hell will bring back their old contest. If you were booted off a flight for wearing one of their tshirts, they would pay your airfare anywhere you wanted.

The most interesting part of this has nothing to do with the situation...It is the fact that freedom of speech, as mentioned in the Constitution, has morphed into freedom of expression...Of any kind.
