It would seem that the more uneducated white obese wal-mart shoppers you have in your state, the greater the chances your state would vote for President Bush.

Just took a quick look at the statistics in your link and can tell you that based on the latest (and the past 2) census statistics, the percentage of Caucasians in Michigan is totally fubar on that chart. I realize this was supposed to be funny, but they could have at least gotten their "data" correct . . .

Democrats only thrive on our two LEFT coasts, believe in Gays having rights as though they were a minority. They are an abomination that need to stay in the closet and out of politics. Republicans have their problems too, but until a viable third party emerges, I'll take sides with the GOP over the slimeballs Clinton, Kerry, Kennedy, and Gore and of course Micheal Moore.

I realize it was meant to be funny, but the fact is that the sentiment is thriving among the party activists.

We've never needed a third party more than we do now.
Or at least a "none of the above" voting option.

So you're saying only minorities have a right to fight for rights?

What about senior citizens, should they shut up too? They're just a specific group of people, not a minority. I think senior citizens should stay out of politics, with all their outdated ideas and "when I was your age" stories.

If gay people want to form a political arm, they have just as much a right as the NRA, the Christian Coalition, and all those Big Money groups to lobby government for what they feel is an injustice.

I suspect Bush is far more intelligent than he would appear. I suspect he's recognized a tendency in American politics for the electorate to choose candidates who appeared to fit strong he-man stereotypes over those who appear more intellectual. Adelai Stevenson and Hubert Humphrey are good examples of intellectuals who could get nowhere in mainstream politics despite outstanding credentials.

That said, I think he's far too ideologically driven and insufficiently intelligent to function as President of the United States, and the state of his projects, especially that little police action (did we ever declare war on Iraq?) in the middle east. And if you think that has been handled well, I have this cool bridge in New York I'd like to sell you.
