I tell them the best phone to buy and they go out and buy something completely different. Now I am stuck trying to get this POS to talk to our server. Should be a 2 minute job.
WHY ASK MY ADVICE IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THE OPPOSITE?!?!? |

I have to use the garage, because I had a bike stolen off the street (they unbolted a light-pole--freaking insane) and though not mine, many cars get vandalized locally (windows smashed, seats cut up, why?) so I gotta pay. |

Ah well very shortly I'll be making the 9 hour bus ride back home to turn around and make a 6 hour bike ride back up here. |

| Re: What one thing pissed you off, today? WOW...I knew the cost of living was nuts there but I had no idea that you needed to pay that much just to park. That is an expense I would not have thought about.
I was pissed off that my school made me buy a separate parking sticker for each vehicle, both car and bike, even though I can never have more than one of them parked there at a time. They were $40 each for the entire year, actually they might be good for both of the years that we are on campus? My undergrad university (Idaho State) allowed you to buy a removable sticker that you could use on any vehicle so you could have five different vehicles for that one parking sticker that I think was about $60 a year. Motorcycle stickers there were only $10 a year and each building had parking for them right at the front door.

So it doesnt matter what you're driving, as long as you have your electronic card then you're good. |

| Re: What one thing pissed you off, today? My former law schools (both, as I was in a combined program w/two schools) allowed parking for free, at all but the downtown NYC campuses, for up to 3 vehicles per student...There was a sticker, and a validation-date sticker for each academic year...Again, this was free...
Regular posted rates at a local commercial garage, with a before-tax discount, was available for the downtown NYC campus. My schools were in White Plains, NY and New Haven, CT. |

Originally Posted by Quick 26 so you pay 600 a month to be able to just have you vehicles in the city wow that is almost my house payment. | We get a discount for the car...At the local garages, the regular monthly rate is around $550.00, so the total would be $1850.00 per month for my 911 (a $150 premium for an "exotic" bullshit), CR-V, 929, RC-51, and V45, if they were all kept in the city. As we only pay $500.00 for maintenance on our apartment, that seems really sick to pay more than three times the cost of a residence to pay to park bikes and cars...The worst was trying to insure the 929 in 2001...Progressive wanted, as parked on a garage on our street, $7500.00 per year...The purchase price before accessories, care plan, etc. was only $8000, so this seemed crazy. I made other arrangements. |

| Re: What one thing pissed you off, today? The fact I live so far from work. Indiana weather changes at the drop of a hat. If I lived closer, I could ride in and run home if it started to cloud up. ( yes I'm a wuss and avoid the rain at all costs )
It's about an hour round trip for me to home and back so I will usually take the saturn or the Jeep unless there's 0 chance of rain. |
