His unit liberated Pilzen Cz, and there is a picture of him in front of a cask of beer large enough to park a truck in...Very cool. | No, Gramps was born in 1903 on this date actually. He was too young for WWI and too old for WWII. He did do a bunch of cool stuff though.
Built his own motorized car (go kart?) in 1915. Popular Science did a article on he and his car. He got correspondence from all over about it.
He would have made an awesome engineer if he had ever gone to school.
He had several motorcycles. There are pics somewhere, and a scrapbook about the car. I am pissed because I think my uncle has it and I will probably never see it again.
He died at age 98. Happy B-day Grandpa ! |

The last most recent thing that upsets me is Bill Clinton and then George Bush doing absolutely nothing about our border to the north and south. We go fight battles overseas over suspected terorists and then here at home we let the terrorists from mexico and Canada just waltz right in and we give them free medical, shelter, food, clothing, jobs and those are the illegal imigrants! Bush doesn't want to do anything about the border situation, anything he does do is a cosmetic bandage to try and appeaze some people. But meanwhile Bush and other Federal workers prosecute two mexico Border Agents who work for the United States. They shot a drug runner in the butt and didn't report it, so the druggie is suing the USA for 5 million dollars and the Mexican Government made Bush put the two borer agents in prison for doing their job. Who the **** runs this country of ours?!?

Who the **** runs this country of ours?!? | There has always been an issue with the military conducting political/economic-oriented operations overseas while problems abound at home; but prior to Korea (and even more starkly vietnam), this situation was ameliorated a bit by the polulation being mostly in the dark about the horror and specifics of the military mission, and by a shared sense of sacrifice through rationing, and a war-effort focus to the social fabric of the nation. |

| Re: What one thing pissed you off, today? Well I went riding today with 4 other buddies of mine seeing as it was a beautiful 75 degrees here in cali. We found a long stretch of road that had absolutley no traffic, all my friend are seeing how high they can get there wheelies and how long they could ride them out and me being the inexperienced rider that I am all I could do was watch cuz even when I tried there was no success. I guess I'll get there eventually. |
