Unfortunately, the largest item of spending, which will go up exponentially and soon, is social security and medicare. Within a decade they will eclipse every other part of the Federal budget. They are also a political hot-potato, as they are supported by a huge and politically active constituency. Find me someone willing and able to do something abut that, and I'll bloody campaign for them. I am now a one-issue voter, but it's a hell of an issue.

I hate to say but this year is not different to past years. Just the names change.

I hear WHAT they want to change and make better but so far not a single one told me HOW they are going to accomplish that.

Same sh(t different year. If the dems get in the middle class gets pounded with tax increases and if the reps stay in power we will pay $5/gallon and spend tons of money on the war.

What it comes down to is that neither candidate will be able to pull the cart out of the sh(t in a hurry and we will have to wait years until we get back our prosperity.
