Went to buy gas last nite at a local station which is open all nite...when I drove up only 1 car was there..big fancy new Lexus sedan with a middle-aged white guy in a white dress shirt filling up.

I noticed a Osama bumper sticker on the back too..then as I filled up I saw he had a "Proud to be a Democrat" lic plate frame!!

As he got done & while I was still filling up I hollered over at him.."Hey, nice car!! I see you're for Obama! OK OK.. If he wins, I'd like to have your Lexus and YOU can have my Hyundai..you know..wealth redistribution and all, right??"..."

He flipped me the bird, used the "F" word, and jumped in and peeled off...I hope he has a ulcer over it.

I do believe that if Obama whens his life is in extreme danger. Thier a lot of racist people out there still (I'm not one of them. ONE LOVE!)and I think he will be assassinated fairly quickly or at least attempts will continued to be made until he steps down as being the president. Here is how I see it.
I don't care who is in power as long as I have a job, can go whereever I want freely, shoot my arms, go hunting, and have the right to prodect myself. I buy American if it fits my needs and if not I buy the best available product.
If a guy comes along and tells me I have to give my stuff I worked hard for to no good, lazy POS because he says so I will volunteer to give him my word of advice. Hell, I even might volunteer to apply my training I received in Germany.

Are you sure you are talking about the US??? Caring about our fellow man??? Wealth redistribution means to me that the rich get richer (since the poor and middle class redistribute their wealth or lack thereof to the rich) and the middle class becomes poorer and well the poor dont notice a difference hell they are already poor!

I have busted my ass for the last 16 years working to get where I am today. I am not rich but I am not poor. As a single mom at 18 I didnt take handouts from the government or assistance, hell I didnt even take child support. I worked 2 to 3 jobs at any given time. I lost out on time with my child because I wanted to work for what I got! Call me crazy but if the government stopped handing out the cash and assistance to those that are perfectly capable of working then I would think the US would be in alot better shape! What is really bad is the people who are supposedly "poor" that are on assistance but driving Lexus' and BMW's but paying for their groceries with Government Assistance Card!

Obama needs to get over his redistribute the wealth crap and start going after those people who screw others for money. I worked hard for what I have, leave me the hell alone!

Thats is what its like over here in the UK... you sign on for benefit and you get given everything.. there are those who have manipulated the system and have never worked a day in their lives!!!!! Its bl00dy wrong!!!!

There are people out there who have lost their job through no fault of their own, due to the current economic climate, and cannot find a job for love or money, no matter how hard they try... And on top of that cannot get any kind of training to help with the job search or improve their skills until they have been out of a job for 6 months...

Those who fleece the system, and the working taxpayers, will go on these training courses not because they want to work, but because it makes it easier for them to fleece the system... for example, to get Job seekers allowence here you have to prove you are looking for work, and while they are on the 'training courses' it looks good, as if they are making an effort.. and all the while they have NO INTENTION of finding a job.. they just want to sit on their @rses all day and get paid for it..

Round this town, and everywhere else, there are loads of people fleecing the system, and you soon notice how they never seem to be short of anything while those who work are killing themselves to provide for their families And the most infuriating part for me is that these people think they 'deserve' the handouts

People get mad at me when I say that the US is the best country in the world because you will get taken care of even if you don't work. Instead of focusing on the situation they focus on me with my accent thinking I am one of these foreigners that live of their tax money. In reality they should focus on the system as is and try to improve it.

I do understand many are out there who face hard times but there are always ways to make the extra buck to survive.

Have to say I agree with Loopy in the most part.
And to add to it we pay benefits to people who have not even paid tax here.

Personally I agree that there should be a welfare system to offer help to the poorest, those who genuinly can't work etc, but for the rest I think they should work for their money just like we do.

Around all our neighbourhoods there are things that need doing. Walls that could be repaired, parks that need tendering, streets that need sweeping, old people who could do with some help around the house, coastal footpaths that need up-keeping etc etc etc. There's a million jobs that need doing with no budget to do them.

So when I'm in power, yes you'll get benefits, but you'll have to work for them. I'll re-name the system " The community support scheme" and you'll get support from the community in the form of wages, for supporting the community in the form of graft.

I am not sure if I am missing something to your post. Nobody shall take away from the next and everybody has the right to make a good living.
