o palin...

So, if you have not heard this yet...

Its a montreal radio station prank calling palin, pretending to be the president of france. It just demonstrates her stupidity and unworthiness to be in office (imo). In case you are wondering, her campaign spokeswoman confirmed she took the call and talked to these two. It airs on Monday.

YouTube - Obama Can't Speak without script. Puppet
Obama has traveled to every corner of the US; 57 states but still has one left to go and then mentions two he hasn't been two. I guess he flunked math and geography. Is he fit to the lead the US?

Nothing like going to the hospital and taking up a bed, getting some treatment early and getting a breathalyzer test.

Massattoosets?????

The next president; Joe Biden??? He doesn't even know that he is running??? I guess it ranks up there that he thinks McCain is Bush.

Make a mistake and get punished by a baby????

George Bush's fourth term???? I thought he was a constitutional scholar and he should know that it is no longer possible for that to happen.

Even his supporters were laughing and then they figured out he was serious:

Re: o palin...

haha lanbrown, you should look closer at some of the rallies. (keep in mind, this is discussion, i am not attacking you, your views or your rights to vote for who you want, i just like to debate)

1: Joe the plumber now is voting for obama (cause he didnt understand the tax laws obama was talking about, obama set him straight)
2: You wont see tax increases unless you make 250000 dollars take home (not your company, YOU). If your taxes increase, feel free to buy me bikes and write them off as expenses... cause you are among the top 5% in the states for money
3: Mccain made his own slipups to, around the same time he made a slip of the tounge, the week in the campaigns were referred to as the slip up week. (obama clearly meant countries)
4: Biden said in a rally *paraphrase* "If anyone tries to come between me and my guns, including my running mate obama, they will have a fight on their hands". Apparently he has quite a few high power rifles, a beretta or two and a couple shotguns. Who knew?
5: How is obama going to limit your freedom?
6: If anything, Mccain is more socialist, he wants to take over/buy all bad mortgages, giving away free money (sounds socialist to me...) whereas obama is giving tax breaks and tax hikes (again, to the 5% rich people).
7: Obama gives you healthcare, mccain gives you 5000 dollars. Trust me, as a canadian, health care rules.

Only a few more days...

Re: o palin...

Better gets your facts straight.

First Obama said 250, then 200 and then Biden said 150. So what is it? Corporations do not pay taxes, they pass them on to the consumer.

If he meant countries why mention the two states he hasn't been to? Is he going for president of the US or some global job?

Obama hates guns and will tax them and the ammo so people cannot afford either one. He will also want to make a database of every owner and gun.

Obama will remove moeny from my pockets, want to take my guns or tax them (more money out of my pocket) and make the US a socialist country. Why try to work hard when you can be lazy and let others pay for it?

Obama can't afford tax breaks. His economic plans doesn't add up at all. he will have more money going out than coming in. Where will the money come from? Yep, taxes and raise them for all.

Canadian healthcare rules? Really? How come my surgeon in Michigan has plenty of Canadians? They pay out of pocket to come to the US for treatment. The answer, they don't want to wait the 12+ months for surgery. Sounds like a great system.

Damon is tool.

Re: o palin...

lol. Never had a problem with healthcare here
and i just added that damon link cause i laughed, really hard.

Gun control is not bad, you dont want a database of who has guns? what do you have to hide? We have gun control up here, no issues, a restricted license takes 1/2 to complete an oral test and then your good to buy whatever you want.
Ever made a slip up yourself? 57/47... add ten, subtract ten, its not a huge deal in the scheme of things.
Obama isnt giving away free money, hes not making everyone middle class, hes not giving away free stuff. (in fact, true socialism is along the lines of, everyone works, everyone pays, no one wants. If we want to get picky, hes going towards communism , a few control, everyone else gets measly by.)
Mccain cant afford tax breaks like he says either. He says hes going to drill offshore now... thats going to be free? yeah... okay. Now we are opening another can, since, if he drills offshore, taps the known resevoirs and hauls all that oil up, not only is it going to take 3-4 years to set up, its going to cost money, going to come out of your pocket (you will pay at the pump...) and by the time he is done his first term, it will add 1% to the american federal oil reserves... 1%. If the americans demand 60%(i dont know if this is right, but its over 50%) of the oil and only produce 25% now, then what difference is 26% going to do? And palin wants to make a pipeline from alaska to the states to ship oil... F*** That. I do not want a pipeline running through my mountains when it is cheaper and more economically friendly to work on other alternatives to power vehicles, homes etc.

Thats just my rant for the moment lol, have a good night guys!
Also, if guns and stuff are so expensive, pop up to canada and buy them here... thats an easy way around registry, you only need to have your license up here (and as i said, thats easy to get). Our ammo is pretty cheap to, if you have a membership to a local farmers agency. Maybe not cheap compared to yours, but if obama starts taxing it... maybe it will be?

Re: o palin...

Half of my surgeons clients are from Canada. That tells you something right there. They would rather pay $20,000+ out of their pocket to go elsewhere rather than free.

A database for fun registration is illegal. Criminals will not follow the law and as such, the database is useless.

Obama is sure giving away free money in terms of services that people cannot afford and passing the bill to others.

Obama changes his stand in issues more often than there are seconds in a day. He is going to lead a country when he can't even make a decision and stick with it.

Who ever wins the election, rest assured your taxes are going up.
The current government has made sure of that.

The only difference will be where those taxes are raised.

You have to remember that if you do have a serious disease and you want it taken care of asap ( and don't want to wait for the surgery date ( something serious like cancer is not a 12 month wait btw)) then people are willing to pay for the treatment, and the ontario province may pay for that treatment across the border aswell ( if they are overburdened). in general we get nearly everything paid for when we go to a check up or to the hospital because of a broken bone or whatever.

my point is that throughout your life 99% of the reasons you go to the hospital will not be life threatening and that is all paid for. If i do ever become life threatingly sick (knock on wood) and the hospitals are taking their sweet ass time over here then i too would check out the surgeons across the pond.

I personally couldn't care for either obama or mccain ( leaning towards obama though ) but Palin scares the hell out of me.

Gun control is not bad? Why don't we want a data base of who LEGALY has a gun?

Well, lets see...
"Are you considering backing gun control laws???"

Do you think that because you may not own a gun, the
rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment don't
matter?

CONSIDER THIS...
In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control.
- From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million
dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded
up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.
- From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to
defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938.
- From 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies,
homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935.
- From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964.
- From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to
defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970.
- From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to
defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956.
- From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because
of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last
century.

Since we should learn from the mistakes of history,
the next time someone talks in favor of gun control,
find out which group of citizens they wish to have
exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in
Australia were forced to surrender 640,381 personal
firearms to be destroyed, a program costing the
government more than $500 million dollars.
- The results Australia-wide; Homicides are up 3.2%,
Assaults are up 8 %, and Armed robberies are up 44%.
In that country's state of Victoria, homicides with
firearms are up 300%.

Over the previous 25 years, figures show a steady
decrease in armed robberies and Australian politicians
are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no
improvement in "safety" has been observed after such
monumental effort and expense was successfully
expended in "ridding society of guns."

It's time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of
honest citizens save lives and property and, yes,
gun-control laws only affect the law-abiding citizens.
Take action before it's too late, write or call your
delegation.

Paul Harvey

You people are so quick to give up your freedoms. One day you are going to wake up and find out you have none left... and no way to take them back.

On another note Guns are NOT the source of crime. It is just easier for the govt to do away with guns then it is for them to catch criminals. I live in an area where you can't go 1/4 mile in any direction without seeing at least one cop. You go to a 7-11 and there are two or three hanging around. You see a car pulled over and there are three cruisers there hanging out. You see an accident and there are 5 cruisers parked in the road with 8 cops milling around talking, leaning against the guard rail etc. Instead of banning guns how about the people who OUR TAXES PAY get off their butts and catch some criminals. If the govt spent half as much effort and time trying to "serve and protect" the public from criminals as they do trying to protect us from our own civil rights we wouldn't have an issue with guns.

saddly the reality of it is that you just cannot get as far in the political world or into a position to be president being honest and not doing anything underhanded. They both I am sure have sold out on things and done bad things.

the President does NOT make laws. He cannot raise taxes, he cannot take away your right to own a gun. Sure he signs them into law but he does not write them. Besides if you aren't part of the Electoral College you aren't really voting for the President anyway.

Well, those are interesting statistics, but i dont agree. Those countries had major political instability at those periods in time, and the states may be economically unstable, but not politically.

Also, we havnt had major issues with crime increases in canada with gun controls... and im not saying its the smartest thing to do cause obviously illegal acts will still occur with unregistered guns, but it hasnt done harm.

But oh well, polls open tomorrow, im excited to see the election results.

Re: o palin...

I think it is a riot how when you bring up Obamas KNOWN assocciation with criminals, people related or involved in terrorist activity or radical racist intolerant preachers that he listened to and was councled by for TWENTY YEARS! they just laugh. Are you serious? I mean it isnt like we made it up or that the assocciations are in question. It seems many people have this attitude that none of that is important. "Oh so what if he is involved with criminal activity I'm GONNA GET MONEY BACK ON MY TAXES WOOOHOO!" Sell outs

True, but republicans have embellished, twisted and made huge assumptions as to what those associations really represent. So its hardly surprising some people are laughing at the republican attitudes.

Throughout this campaign, we've had lots of coverage here in the Uk, we have heard more about Obama from the Republicans than we have about republican policy. McCain has focused his campaign on talking down his opponent rather than talking up his policy. He appeared to dither over the credit crisis, picked and idiot for a running mate and expected his service record to outway Obama's obvious lack of experience. From London McCain looks like a man with no ideas and too many enemies.

We'll see tomorrow if scaring the republicans into voting has worked but I doubt it. As the old adage goes: You don't win elections. You lose them.

Its not just the Canadian's and the British it's the whole blinkin world.
The reason is American has a habit of invading and or dropping bombs on foreign countries - I think a little excursion into Syria was the most recent outing for American foreign policy. (the British are also not free from Guilt in this dept, but our leaders aren't quite as cowboy as yours)

The next President will decide what to do about Iran.
Is it really any wonder we're all watching the election with bated breath...
