I don't think he's ready for office, and didn't vote for him, but I'm cheering for him because he's our president, and I want what's best for the land that I love.

I believe somewhere around 96% of African Americans voted for Obama.

People thought he was going to be a great Pres because of the promises he made. Since he has already back out on , "changed" or flat lied about his stance on many issues so far why is it people think he is going to be so good? The American public on average is made up of simple minded self serving people who obviously got taken by the media BS and smooth talking of his campaign. Now we have to live with the results of so many people voting on the basis of race and promises of unearned money on their pocket.

He's a real ar***le he just imposed continued sanctions on Zimbabwe today,a poor country that has close to a 90% unemployment rate,its a fu***ing disgrace.Instead of helping us ( Southern African Region ) he's making things even worse.South Africa as a country is basically supporting Zimbabwe,and it has huge implications on our own economy.So tell me then,WHAT IS HE DOING FOR HIS BLACK BROTHERS IN AFRICA???????????.He is a Puppet.

If the previous US administration wanted to take stronger action they would have used their "regime change" technique. Thank goodness that didn't happen.

Do you believe the problems in Zimbabwe are the result of sanctions? You are certainly a lot closer to the situation than I am, but I was under the impression that the sanctions were a response and not a cause.

What do you think he should have done instead?

I think the least he can do is be Pro-active and make a positive contribution to the dire situation.People here are dying hundreds by the day from hunger and disease ,and no its nobody els's fault exept for Robert Mugabe,but thats the way things are right now,what are sanctions going to contribute?Zimbabwe is not having a terrorist war against any ather country,its not a militant state,things are really messed up there,theres no sanitation or running water in half the country.
What he's doing is kicking a country thats already lying down,
I dont hate Obama,I have no reason to,but what he's doing is not helping anyone

gwb for the first 90 days didn't even show up for work. then we had him on camera sitting with a childs book upside down in a classroom w/kids while things where happening, AND HE DID NOTHING!!! even when there was documentation talking about that very attact happening to the US. Obama has hit the ground running with an over filled plate left behind by gwb. i voted for B. Obama and to say the least he is earning his paycheck. gwb was f***** dumbass that governed with his gutt and he said this many of times, well how about letting somebody govern this country with their brain. i got sick with gwb saying god bless america like the US is the only country here on planet earth. America needs a president that doesn't have tunnel vision, gb had it and Obama does not.

Uh oh... may get myself in trouble here... I am a black Republican in Califonia... hahahaha... which makes me the ULTIMATE minority.... In the end... I am torn between being happy to see Obama in office and my complete disagreement of his ideals and objectives with respect to domestic economics and foreign policy... That being said I sometimes have to correct my more vocal and emotional peers... A lot of people HATED GWB... and that is okay... Hate the man... not the President... Sometimes you have to look past the man and realize that the president is not a man... it's an institution... and office... Mr. Obama, the man, I disagree with... but I respect and want my president to succeed.... I love my country and my country elected this man to become the idea... I am allowed to disagree... that is the beauty of this country... I can tell Obama to his face that I think the bailouts are F'n stupid... but at the same time I want my country and fellow Americans to succeed... strange place to be right now for moderate Republicans... We get associated with GWB (who honestly... will not go down in history as bad as media made him out to be)... and at the same time want to voice our opinion whether we agree or disagree with Obama... or the Governator... or Queen Pelosi... or any of them...

In the end... We are all on the same team with the same goal... just a different idea as to how to get there... remember that when you get pissed at Obama... or Jindal... or Palin... This person is an American too... Terrorists would kill them just as soon as they would kill you... Whether you are black, white, brown, Christian, Muslim, Jewish... Being American should trump that in some arena... and this is one of them...

From the looks of this thread and the mood of the country, Obama certainly didn't bring the country back together and he sure won't be able to deliver on most of those empty promises he made during his campaign. We're on the road to socialism and we need to take the country back before it's too late (easier said than done)...

I can agree with that... perhaps I am too harsh on GWB, but his first term he had a friendly Congress and still didn't address the issue (he was a little pre-occupied defending our freedoms)... So you get a

Obama's very first TV interview was on an Muslim station...........and he says he is a Christian?-----LIAR. Also, when he lived overseas, his school required a religion to be marked and his mother put him down as Muslim and he said he has never been Muslim-------------LIAR.

If anyone has read the "Left Behind" books, there was a character in there that made the entire world believe he was the savior and he was really the Antichrist. So, to all you religious people out there, maybe Obama sounds a lot like the Antichrist. All he has to do is become Secretary General of the United Nations after he leaves the Oval Office and the book reflects life (assuming he survives assassination attempts).

I, much like many other non-supporters do not wish to live in the Socialist society which he is creating so I am looking for an overseas move. His supporters are fine with a Socialist society and there is no question he is creating one-----if you don't see it you are blind. Now, maybe it will work fine and maybe it will not, but it works fine for England (very expensive there last time I went). I just don't want to go from living one way in this country to a complete change.

I do not hope he gets assassinated like many others wish only because if he does, the Joe Biden takes over. Since he can't keep his mouth shut about national security matters, he would probably tell everyone where all of our nukes are, where the president's hidden bunker is, and where Area 51 really is. We definitely don't need that.

Maybe we'll be lucky and Obama will continue on his extreme aging since he became president and die like a Progeria patient (those kids that age 10 years for every one they are alive). If he gets assassinated he will become a martyr and then we can't have the man that everyone REALLY wanted for president a few years back. COLIN POWELL.....a man with political experience and VAST military experience. A true commander in chief. He said he backed out of running before because he was worried about assassination attempts.

In my opinion, no one should be allowed to run for president until they have served a MINIMUM 4 years in the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines), not the Coast Guard. No offense Coast Guard guys, I appreciate what you do, but you are not a battle group, but the best rescue people on the planet. You NEED military experience and knowledge to be the leader of the most advanced military fighting forces on the planet.

Obama is an insult to the American people, their freedoms and those who have fought for this country at the cost of life and limb. The man supports views that are so backwards and wrong as to be criminal. Saying you are a "right wing extremist or domestic terrorist if "you are a member of an active conservative group that opposes abortion, favors strict immigration enforcement, lobbies to protect Second Amendment rights, protests big government, advocates federalism or represents veterans who believe in any of the above" How dare these people label our veterans as TERRORIST and a danger to out country because their experience overseas could make them more likely to oppose the Govt or join/support groups that do. To be fighting for a country who's leader openly considers you a threat is unimaginable. Not only should his views and actions so far make him ineligible to hold office but should be considered criminal.

I think it is amazing hos stupid and self centered the American public is. Millions of people support this man for no reason because he is NOT GW, he is a minority and because they wrongly believe he is going to put money in their pockets. "He I'll vote for Obama, I am too stupid and simple to know anything about the consequences of his plans but since I am lazy and ignorant I will support anything that promises to pay my way without me having to work hard.

I just got in from ridn my 600cbr which is in great need of some carb work.Happy that the bike made it home made me smile.But when I read this blog it turn upside down.I am a young black guy who served in the Air Force for 4 years. Never been to jail or prison and am responsible for my child.My mom and dad divorced like many of your parents.Neither my mom or dad ever spilled hate over all the white presidents they saw.No matter what they signed! Now my hands are shivering and my eyes are red from the tears in them.No matter what the tax mill was or cost of gas was my parents said nothing, they just paid it.Can't we just have 1 black family in the white house where so many whites have lived?Can't our black kids killing each other and selling drugs in the street turn on the tv and see this just for 4 years of our selfish lives?My parents never gave a **** about who got an abortion!Or gave a **** about Stem cell research!Hell I'll tell you where our missiles are.When I was stationed in Minot,ND .....................
