| Bush Scares Me I must be the most conservative person in America b/c Bush scares me for the exact opposite reason he scares my Liberal friends here on this site.
He's on track to spend more of my money than Clinton did!
He thinks he has my vote(and Conservatives like me) so he's crossing over to court the left. He's done so many things lately to piss me off. I could start with him budgeting money(you know ..taxes) to the national endowment of the arts(sorry not into it), amnesty to illegals(again not into it), etc.
And when he doesn't let the AWB sunset that will be it for GW in my book.
One thing I respect about Democrat Presidents is they stay true to the left when elected. They completely shun the right and push thier agenda full force. When a Republican gets in he spends a majority of his time trying to get along with the Dems and alienating the people who voted him in. Did Clinton get his lefty judges in? Damn right he did. Did Bush? Hell no( 1 temp). He doesn't want to stir it up.
I do believe the war is a good thing no WMDs yet but we should all agree we ended an aweful regime...it absolutely needed to be done. Bush has done a great job regarding homeland security.
Not trying to stir it up just a vent. |

| Re: Bush Scares Me I went to the dark side and voted in the democrat primary ( by internet) today. Last time I did this was when Carter ran against Ford.
W is definitely failing to impress domestically these days. State of the Union was a huge wasted opportunity for him. $160 Million to support marriage? What happened to small government? What happened to keeping goverment out of our personal lives? |

There is no way I would ever vote for a Democrat(Save ol' Zell or unless I lived 100+ years ago). My point is Bush is starting to act like a Democrat. He spend, spend, spends and like you said the government isn't getting any smaller. I like the guy for the same reason some of you hate him.
Alan Keyes was my pick but he didn't have a chance. Shame. |

| Re: Bush Scares Me No way I'd vote for him. He's a privileged idiot who can bearly speak the language, spends out tax dollars like a sixteen year old girl with a new credit card, and talks tough while others do the fightin' (our AWOL commander-in-chief). I just have no respect for the man. |

| Re: Bush Scares Me Not to mention that W is going to allow his logging buddies into the Alaskan wilderness. They are going to be allowed to log in there, one of the last largest forests left. Not only that, we taxpayers have to foot the bill to build the necessary roads into this federal land so the loggers can go in there and destroy it, and make money. Why should we have to pay for the roads? More importantly, these our OUR national forests. Why should they be cut down at all? |

I just have no respect for the man. | A couple of observations:
1. Most presidents come from privileged backgrounds in one form or another. Let’s face it you or I have a slim to none chance of seeking that office. It takes money and influence …two things that I do not have in excess.
2. If you are going to call Bush and idiot for his errors when the English language is concerned that’s your right. Does your statement mean that he speaks English like a Grizzly or do you barely speak the English language yourself ?
3. Your last comment necessitates further explanation. Do you expect him to grab a rifle and head to the front line? What Commander-in-Chief (while he was Commander-in-Chief) has ever done that? He was in Iraq Thanksgiving Day for crying out loud. Let’s face it you hate the guy and you want him out of office. I felt the same way when Clinton was in power. |

1. Yup, he is privileged. Privileged in a way that makes it difficult for him to understand the difficulties the rest of us face from day to day. Bearly vs barely . . . well . . . I guess it was too subtle a joke . . . ie . . . nuclear vs. nucular . . . sorry.
2. I'm sure you knew this, but when GW was in the Texas Air National Guard . . . he was AWOL for some time. Amazing huh? Our Cammander (another joke) in Chief was himself AWOL, but now he commands the greatest military in the world . . . isn't America great! |

Sincere question: Do you think we would have been better off with Gore? |

| Re: Bush Scares Me I'm not sure if we would have been better off with Gore. He has his issues too. There are just too many inconsistencies with Bush. I am not saying the guy is evil. In fact, he seems very personable and would probably be really cool to spend an evening talking over dinner. However, when it come to economic policy and domestic issues, he just doesn't seem to be able to understand what is going on . . . it is like he is being handled (Karl Rove). |

| Re: Bush Scares Me Opinions Please:
How is it possible that Dubya was AWOL for between 6 and 18 months (depending on which media mouth you believe) during his National Guard stint (avoiding Viet Nam) and there isn't any "leftist media" raking him over the coals?
Klinton gets a "bj" and almost impeached; Dubya gets to send our troops to Iraq as targets because ugly Saddam "wanted to have WMD" and now he doesn't have to explain with concrete facts that he did not go AWOL. What sorta sh*t is this? Where is the moral high ground in lying? |
