| Re: Way to go there Ralphie boy.... I'd guess from Nader's perspective he's seen far too much corporate bullshit over the years to trust any corporation to behave ethically without regulatory oversight. I gather he sees the Republicans and Democrats as two sides of the same coin, both parties bending way over to service their corporate sponsors at the expense of the common man. He's got to know he's going to cost the Democrats some votes, but since he doesn't see either party as being all that different, what does it matter. In a broader context, he's making a political statement that perhaps needs to be made. I wouldn't vote for him regardless, were I an American. |

Meet The Press was actually fun to watch Sunday. |

Peeps can stick their head in the sand all they want, but it won't fix anything....

It's fun arguing politics, but I don't think that any of us is going to change the other's view/opinions. Glad you take all this with a grain of salt, and a good sense of humor Bake . |

BTW....after months of mud being slung his way, Bushy finally came out of the woodwork..... Quote: |
"The other party's nomination battle is still playing out. The candidates are an interesting group with diverse opinions," Bush said. "They're for tax cuts and against them. They're for NAFTA and against NAFTA. They're for the Patriot Act and against the Patriot Act. They're in favor of liberating Iraq (news - web sites), and opposed to it. And that's just one senator from Massachusetts."
| Who could he be talking about.....
If Kerry doesn't get the job...he has an amazing opportunity as a spokesman for Waffle House.......

Sounds to me like true representative government to me..... LOL | I was going to argue that the Gov't takes their share of motorcycle imports, but it turns out that they don't take a lot. Nothing on the 600RR, and 2.4% of the value for the 1000RR. Not a particularly huge chunk, and we probably net more from the italians than we do from the Japanese. US ITC Tariff Database. Mo' interesting stuff on the main page, too. |
