| Re: who believes I do, pray everyday my man. Why? Because I'd be lost without 'em. He has hooked me up, and taken care of me for a while now. If you pray, do his will, etc, then you get hooked up. I have had more prayers answered than the other way around, I believe God speaks to me and guides me. Don't know what else to tell ya. Doesn't mean I'm the model Christian, not at all. But I do try, succeed at some stuff, fail at others. But if he knows you are down and would die for 'em, IMHO that is all that is required. That and you actually make an effort to change, even if you really don't. |

Why? Very personal, but I have had solid witness that God exists. |

I believe in God. Why is a tough question to answer...it seems to seek a convincing argument like physical proof or something. But you probably won't find Him that way. I guess I'd just sum it up by saying I read the Bible and believe what it says. There have also been some personal experiences...
To paraphrase the Bible, if you seek Him you will find Him. |

| Re: who believes Wow...I was surprised (and glad) to see you ask this, since you've usually replied sarcastically to my God-responses in the past. I had signed out of the site to spend more time working again, but I signed back in for this.
I guess first off, independent of all the different religions and faiths, I think it's much more difficult to believe that everything you see around you is simply an accident. I think it takes much more faith to believe that we're here as a result of a series of random events and evolutions then it does to believe that we were created. Once you can accept that, then I suppose the debate can come about which faith is true. |

Light is a constant, thats part of E=MCsquare...this is not a strictly religious view, but a scientific theory that RTB holds as NOT in conflict with the Bible...many secular scientists and Theists believe the universe can be aged by the observation of expansion and the speed of light. |

| Re: who believes Why do you ask specifically about God? Why not "a" god? What about Budha? Allah? Zeus? Odin? I've been interested in why people tend to put their faith in the religion with which the are most familiar through family, upbringing, surrounded by, etc.
I can't and won't deny the existance of a god but I have a hard time buying into any religion on the basis of familiarity. I don't even know what half the world believes in so how can I say they are wrong? Where's the dolby-digital emoticon? |

Maybe that was just a bad example, but it seems that they take theories that seem to conflict with the bible and just dismiss them very easily. They site such an abstract study to contest evolution- that robot study. Yet they fail to mention the vast amount of studies that have simulated evolution. |

| Re: who believes I do.
Like others have said, it is more of a personal thing with me too. I know we are supposed to spread the word and tell others about what Jesus has done, but I can get too emotional sometimes when I tell my story and the difference he has made in my life.
I really don’t care what anyone thinks; it's just a personal relationship that it is hard to explain I guess.
I’m NO model Christian; I have fallen WAY short of what I need to do as a "Christ" like human being.
I'm not a Bible thumper but it is nice to see that others share a belief in the same God I do. |

Like I said, I have no idea about the religions that exist out there. | Actually, it's all pretty sketchy from everything I've ever read about him. But most texts that I read in the past stated that he was a man. A prince to be exact.
It's kind of funny because most traditional praticioners look at him as an "enlightened one". But not as an immortal.
But hey, I'm no expert on this either, I just found your statement to be interesting.
Check out this site for some interesting tidbits if you're interested. |
