 | How should spouses treat each other? From a 1955 issue of Housekeeping Monthly Do you have a particular stance or opinion backed up by your beliefs on this matter? What are the gender roles you think are supposed to be upheld? | Re: How should spouses treat each other? My pastor at Antioch is the coolest Pastor I've had yet. He talks about this subject often, and I tend to agree with him. In the marriage, the man is the leader. In today's society I realize that women want more than that so I'm willing to go 50/50. I don't want to run their life or make them do things that I won't, like clean or cook. I'm fine with splitting that up. But the majority of marriages that I know of, outside the church, the woman is the boss. You start messing with gender roles and it leads to the divorce rate being as high as it is IMHO. In God's word, the man isn't suppose to be the weaker sex like commercials and advertising want you to believe today. |
