I work with an engineer who recently immigrated here from the middle east.

He is Christian and has an interesting story to tell around this. The basic conclusion is this:

It is OK to be Christian if you are born such
If you renounce your Muslim faith, it is legal, and encouraged, to KILL you
If you are able to convert a Christian to Islam, you get some kinda religious kudos

He went through some pretty amazing stuff for his faith...
