| A Counterfeit Revival I was going to steal sheep's "Book Recommendation" title but I didn't want to take from his thread at all. I just finished Hank Hanagraaf's A Counterfeit Revival and I have to say it's excellent. He outlines the history and lives of those who have played a prominent role in what has become today's "revival", leading up to "pastors" such as Benny Hinn. If you've ever attributed his antics (i.e. false prophesy, "healings", "slayings in the spirit") to genuine worship of Christ, this book might be an important read. |

A.R. is very anti religion and particular Catholics from what I have read, however despite this I think he performs a lot of good services. FYI in case I wasn't clear I think A.R.'s atheism a big error on his part and hope he is still rewarded for his services in debunking psychics, magicians and other charlatans.
