The Pope

I was talking with a coworker about the whole pope situation a few days ago. He said that some guy(can't remember his name) that lived quite a while ago was able to predict either the name of every pope, or something significant about the guy...every single one so far. Supposedly, this next one is only supposed be in his position for 6 months, then the next one for 7 years. The Mayan calendar also ends in the year 2012. The tribulation period is supposed to last 7 years according to the book of Revelation which would put the end of the world according to all of this at the year 2012.

Do I believe in all of this? No, not necessarily all of it, but I'm curious what all of you think.

Re: The Pope

Very well could have been...I honestly can't remember his name. I'll try to remember to ask him tomorrow.

Heck I wouldn't doubt it; the new Pope is like 78-years old so how much time does he really have? I'm not so sure about the Tribulation beginning and end of the world and what not talk, but I suppose anything is possible...

Re: The Pope

yep and I can predict the winner of the next super bowl. If you take a loosely worded prediction and read it wanting to believe it is amazingly accurate. Read a horoscope they are so vague and generic that a person that wants to can find them accurate.

The Amazing Randy once did a demonstration of scamming by recruiting a person from Australia that would pose as a psychic. They put a show on claiming he would fix clocks in listeners homes. A lot of people called in amazed (broken clocks tend to run occasionally so if you look they have a chance of being moving) Even after they admitted the truth there were people that did not believe that he really was a psychic.

In short if you meet anyone that really knows when the end of the world is, us sheep work for him. And be polite

EDIT: Amazing Randi is the correct spelling
