| Re: Thank Darwin Actually I am for teaching multiple theories in school. Part of learning is how to think, how to research, and how to reason. Unfortunately most school is now about regurgitating what the teacher spewed (either required or thiers). If taught with details a student should be able to reason to the best choice while considering that it may be incorrect and that alternatives currently exist or may be possible (thus it is a THEORY).

11 people bringing suit against a school board is significant, since they're potentially sharing actual costs.
Read on - the community has voted out 8 of 9 members of that school board. That's an indisputable majority. |

| Re: Thank Darwin While I agree that one can find moronic assholio "teachers" in a gubmint skool without taking five steps, there are also many good teachers stuck in the gubmint system. Most would be glad to drop the gubmint indoctrination crap for a chance to actually educate children in a real school. |

The other (Cruise) while he is a liberal wacko and so is his wife, he did take personal time money and plane to New Orleans to help and unlike some did not bring his personal photography team. Also I have a hard time calling something based upon a Science Fiction book a religion
Rather I was referring to friends I have that are Islamic (top notch fellow, not sure the sect though), Jewish (ditto), 7th Day Adventist, Roman Catholic, Mormon and a variety of Protestants. Likely I am missing some but you can see I have had the privledge of meeting a great variety of great folks.

There is no way to scientifically test religion. It's "faith based". Religion is not a theory. There is NOTHING scientific about it. It is the exact opposite.
Keep it out of my schools. It doesn't belong there. If my kid needs religious brainwashing in class I'll send him to the private school of my choosing. Quote: |

Why does some teacher need to teach my kid this crap. If it's important to you do it at home, but don't force it down my throat.
ACLU gets it right again. |

The Bible is most certainly at least partially a work of fiction. |
