Okay,
after my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she wrote her Catholic church in Washington Sate, for reintegration into the Church. You see, around 30 years before, she had been excommunicated from the Catholic Church because she filed for divorce. She retained custody of me, and I was adopted by her "new" husband, my Dad, a year later.
Well, they wrote back to her that she was accepted back into the church, 30 some odd years later, and apologized for any grief or hardship.
It pleased my Mom, so I'm glad for that. But, I was secretly DISGUSTED with the idea the Catholic Church had treated my Mom in such a way for so long. And to think I don't believe in organized religion. I wonder why?
This recent issue with purgatory or limbo doesn't surprise me. Par for the course.
