| Re: U.S. to end funding abstinence-only program Another Faith-Based initiative, which, by it's very nature, violates separation of church and state, and uses my tax money to subsidize a religious agenda. At least thats one immoral program ended. What about all the others? Should the government be pushing so hard to steer our tax money to religious groups? They should get donations from believers, not from taxpayers who may or may not agree with their agenda. |

I don't want my tax dollars going to some religious organization who's tactics I don't agree with. If I want to donate money to religion, I'll give it to my own church. |

All these programs should be privately funded. |

Wouldn't want to see a federally funded program which promoted Muslim Fundamentalism either, or any other religion based program.
I'm still surprised the 12 step, AA program gets imposed by courts. Very biased...
Besides, TEEN ABSTINENCE? GIVE ME A BREAK! |

Very biased... | So it is OK to forcefully take money and give it to others as long as no religious organization is involved The real answer is to not have the give aways and social engineering that congress has been addicted to. In short freedom. If you want to spend your earnings on beer fine, or try to help people via non-religious organization fine also, or even via a church . The money is yours not the governments

I'm trying to say, it doesn't have to be a religious based organization to do some good.
And, it doesn't bother me one bit if there's a complete seperation of church and state, to include the "state" not supporting religious based organizations, whatever religion it may be. |
