| The Da Vinci Code Read this on another forum and it made me laugh. Thought I'd share Quote:
So the conspiracy brigade will have us believe that Jim Bob was NOT the son of God, did NOT perform miracles, did NOT die for our sins and did NOT ascend to heaven to take his rightful place sat next to the creator?! Oh no, they claim he moved to the south of France with his bird and had some nippers? I mean honestly ..... I've heard some cock and bull in my time but what do they take us for? Fools? | |

Facts - The book is fiction
- Dan Brown did not claim Jesus did not die on the cross
- DB did not claim he did not Raise Again on the third day
- Did not claim he did nopt do miracles
- Only claim that he wed Mary and had atleast one child and that Mary and the Child moved to Fance.
This book should not change anyones faith in Jesus Christ because the points that are discussed have nothing to do with salvation, only the various theories on how Humans have minipulated the religion over time. |

| Re: The Da Vinci Code Despite the innuendo that it is fiction (cough **true**) by Sony there is as much a chance the movie is fact based as that I had kin at the birth.

| Re: The Da Vinci Code I have not watch it cause I think it will most likely Suck. As do most books that I have read they are made into movies. The only one that broke that IMO was Lord of the Rings.
I will most likely watch when it is released for rental. |

| Re: The Da Vinci Code The book was unintentionally hilarious. I kept waiting for Lee Harvey Oswald to show up with his buddy from the grassy knoll. That was just about the only conspiracy theory left untouched. The rest of it was derivative drivel, with possibly the worst dialogue EVER. I was hoping Monty Python would get the rights to do the movie, but alas, Forrest Gump beat them to the punch.
It was the "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" of the new millenium. My only explanation for its popularity is that people weren't getting enough carbs.. |

| Re: The Da Vinci Code OF -
Yeah, but the difference is that I read about 10 books a month, as opposed to the 'millions' who read one per summer. .. I would have thrown this out except it was so bad, and so popular, that it provided a lot of amusement. |

I read quite a bit (but not 10 a month ), but didn't think this one was nearly as bad as that. |

| Re: The Da Vinci Code A word of caution to you all. Under no circustances read another of Mr Brown's books - Digital Fortress. It is truly dreadful. So bad that I'm ashamed to say that I even picked it up. I'm even more ashamed to admit that I finished it, so please don't tell anyone, our little secret. |

I am just sick of Christians that will rag on everyones beliefs but if you ever question theirs they go off the handle. Heck, they are just as bad as the fundamental Islams sometimes. |
