When was the nation of Israel created? Wasn't that part of the world ruled by the Arabs 1000 years ago? I agree that the timing is a bit suspect.

If I'm skeptical about the Gnostic books of the bible, I guess I would have to be skeptical here. But as I've said elsewhere, anythings possible.

I wonder if someones going to carbon date these things, or some other validation process/ linguist etc.?

I agree with Custom, if God were trying to say something, this might be one way to convey it... I know that sounds crazy about an omnipotent being, but that's what faith is based on.

No read your history. They were Jewish people there for a LONG time. Even after WWII when Isreal was created there was a mix of Jewish and Arab people living there (not a lot as before Isreal it was a fairly undeveloped area) As far as who ruled it check the history of Jerusalem and you will find that many have ruled it over the centuries, including many non-arabic nations/empires.

Many have ruled the land - or rather the Jews living there, but it has always been a Hebrew Country whether or not if they were in power over their own Country.

I tend to think God would be sophisticated enough to communicate with us in digital. Probably Wi-Fi, and in 7 channel Dolby surround.

Nope, most people would only hear static. If they did hear God it would be discounted as feedback or whitenoise. Possibly, if a voice was heard it would be considered as a voice that somehow jumped channels.
