When kids are given cell phones, dirt bikes, cars, etc. they don't realize the hard work that has gone into those items. Then they hit 18 move out of the house and think that the world owes them those things. They think that they should run out at after graduation and live in the nicest apartment, then finance the leather couches, and a $25K car. My wife is 8 years younger and even the difference in her expectations is amazing. To many people have always had whatever they want and credit is the immediate answer to their problems as soon as they are on their own.
