No, no!! I found it myself. I'm still sniffing around and keeping an eye on what you god-zombies are up. I've never smoked (other than the odd cigar) but have seen the difficulties people have trying to quit. Good luck plade and you know what they say..."Never Quit Quitting"

im sorry lanbrown i dont know gods reason,i cant explain God actions or reaction. i have a feeling if i did it would be followed by another question from you i dont really know.(Im no bible instructor) As you can see im not the smartest person in the world

. all i know is that i believe in him and if ever faced death because of it, will die in my belief. my skin is not thick,its just that the thread is no going the way i thought it would.

So you blindly believe with absolutely no proof other than what was written on a piece of paper, copied many thousands of times and translated to numerous languages. Take the Constitution, to most people it is not readable; some of this comes from that the English language has evolved in the last few hundred years. So, if a few hundred years causes that much issue on to the meaning, how is the bible any different?

This thread will go where it may, maybe it will be the act of god, maybe it will be the act of fate or maybe, just maybe it goes to where we want it to go as there is no god that controls every aspect of your life and you have freewill.

what ever the case, it makes me a better person and im cool with that. good instrutions for living. it goes the same for motorcycles, many people wouldnt do it, some say they dont see how we do it, and some will never do it. the thing is i will ride until i die.like bibles, motorcycles are not understood but i want stop because they dont. i have had some serious falls, with broken bones but i want stop riding.

Thanks for the support both. I did give up smoking for 18 years and started again about 10 years ago. This is day 12 without my beloved "rollies with licorice papers".

Don't be too hard on yourself. The greatest bible instructors in the world cannot answer questions pertaining to God's actions either, because there are no logical answers. This situation most likely roots from the non-existence of God, but that’s just my opinion.

If you have become a better person and changed your life for the better, then you need to give yourself credit for that. Ultimately it is your actions that dictate the outcome of your life, this is true whether there is a God or not.

If you are right, then when you die it will be a glorious event indeed. However, if you are wrong then you lived your one and only life believing something that was not true, and making decisions based on falsehoods. Personally, without some kind of proof of God's existence, I would not want to risk the later.

12 days? Hell, your past the hard part, congrats. I've never smoked but I do chew (dip, snuff). I have quit 4 different times for at least 9 months at a time, but I keep ending up getting bored and going back!!

I find it's going the other way. First couple of days were easy but it's got worse as the nicotine levels dropped. I'm now at the stage of wandering around the yard looking for old stubs that I threw away two weeks ago...

Hi jist popped in for a wee look at this site, hav wondered whit it may contain. I aint no churchgoer but a think ye wer all a wee bit hard on this person, so confrontational and patronisin aboot grammar.
