My first bike, 1999 CBR600F4 "Lucy"

Couldn't resist! This was my first bike. I learned how to ride on her, and named her "Lucy." I have a name for any vehicle/bike I own.

I bought her in the stock yellow/black paint scheme, with a number of mods already done. After I laid her down on a turn though, I changed the paint and installed some additional mods. Here's the list, and the before/after pics. I miss her!

Engine/Mechanical:
* New Two Brothers exhaust system including headers
* New chain and sprocket (2 more teeth for more torque)
* K&N air filter
Cosmetic/Looks
* LED turn-signals installed in the passenger footpegs
* Under-tail kit (dual LED)
* Flush (shaved) front turn signals
* Corbin Gunslinger seat
* Zero Gravity smoked windscreen
* Custom paint & graphics (the blue version)
* Custom grips & laser-etched "CBR" grip-ends
* Custom plate mount
* Custom rear-wheel cover, painted to match bike
* New driver pegs
* Frame sliders
* New stator cover
* New rear tire
* Chrome-dipped wheels
* 12-volt power adapter installed under seat for charging things
* Polished frame and sub-frame

BEFORE/AFTER pics

It was winter in Missouri (which is pretty horrible), and a friend of mine really wanted a bike, so I sold it to him. I originally planned to replace it with a 954, but after a while I decided to wait until I finished moving to Arizona before getting another bike.

Lol it's a long story. Basically:

1. Sold the F4 in Kansas City, in December 07.
2. Moved to Arizona for school in January of this year
3. Got called up for some training (Army reserve) for the last five months so I had to put school and bike on hold.
4. I return home (Arizona) tomorrow, where I will acquire a new bike, hopefully a 1000RR I'm looking at.

I guess it wasn't as long a story as I thought

I'm talking since you got rid of the F4i.
Anyhow, keep us posted on your situation.

Thanks! She was def. a beautiful bike. It irked me that the guy i sold her to turned around and sold her for more than I did. argh.

I got the new bike and it's a lot more punchy...a lot of fun to ride.

Lucy truly was beautiful, but... sorry, maybe it's just me. I can't get on with polished chrome frames. Otherwise, lovely ride.

Yeah, the guy before me dipped the rims. I thought they were okay, but they were a huge pain to keep clean. I'll never get chrome wheels again.

Actually, I was talking about the chassis/frame.
The wheels didn't look bad at all, but I can imagine the work trying to keep ahead of the muck they pick up.
