| Cheatin a little bit. Yeah OK, I'm cheating a bit here. It's not a Blade, and it's not even my bike! I did take the photos though
Anyone else here a two-stroke fan? Post 'em if you got 'em. |

Anyone else here a two-stroke fan? Post 'em if you got 'em. | The ventilated discs looked so cool but I don't know if they were very effective since I'm not aware of any other bike that used them.
I've ridden both 500's and prefer the the RG over the RZ myself. The steel-framed RZ is a real porker alongside the RG and the aluminium-framed RZ500V isn't much better.

| Re: Cheatin a little bit. I've got four RXS100s and about three Puch Maxis - I love riding behind my son when he is on the RXS - the smell is amazing.
A person I saw at a show (few weeks back) had a RD350 Liquid Cooled... Looked really nice!

Two-strokes aren't about braking, they're about accelerating |

The RG on the other hand is cool all over ;-)
On a two stroke brakes are important as you have to stop every 100km for fuel :-)

| Re: Cheatin a little bit. I bought myself a NSR 250 mc18(r5k) a couple of years back and I think it's a neat little machine. Never dynoed it myself but people are getting 60+ hp on a well jetted pretty much stock machine and it weighs around 280lbs. Fun to throw around in town and supposedly they are a great tight track machine. Anywhere under 190kph I can keep up with pre2000 600's. Fairly tech advanced for its age too. My '89 has a 3d ignition map, servo controlled exhaust valves, air solenoids controlling the power jets emulsion rates, and a tps for the input(as well as engine speed). And driving through town on a chainsaw is always good times. |

And driving through town on a chainsaw is always good times. | They first appeared here in '92 and looked like an RGV killer for 250 Production racing but they (along with the TZR250) never caught on. For years 250 production fields were all RGV250's until the RS250 came along.
I really wanted to race 250 Production as it was highly competitive (it died out long ago now) but I'm simply too big for the little bikes in my opinion. I spent a long time test riding all the 250 two strokes and felt the KR250 was most suited to my size but the bike itself never felt like a racebike to me (I've still got one).

Suzuki made one incredibly bad mistake with the RG - ugliness! I don't know what Suzuki were thinking at the time, I mean the late GSX's and early GSXR's were gorgeous. The RG fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Cool motor though
The Yam, it has to be said, is beautiful. Especially in R1 blue Course, you could POST some RG pictures to change my mind (hint hint) |

For sheer appearance I prefer the NS400R Rothmans out of the three and hope one day to add one to my collection. Unfortunately, they're even rarer than the RG500.

Amazingly his does about 110 miles including the reserve (even when he is giving it plenty) and has a top speed of 70MPH down hill
