| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade I was just thinking that. A salvaged bike would go a treat (you wouldn't really be worried about the fairings or a few dinks here and there when your racing and they will be cheaper!)
The 04-07 were the best looking blades, well behind the 954RRs (I'm biased )

| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade Thanks for all the advice.... Going to check out an 07 this weekend.... If it is a go I will post the before and after race transformation pics... I should have not sold my 06 until I had a proper race replacement... |

| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade Looks quite nice.
I take my blade to the track quite often and hardly ride street at all anymore, but i keep it street legal just in case... Finding a beater for the track is the way to go. 600's are very popular out there, but you just can't beat a liter bike down the back straight.
I personally thought that the CBR's with the undertail exhaust were the hottest looking.
A little pic of myself at Mid-Ohio this year. It's going to be a long winter I fear. |

| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade I try to tell myself not to ride street (damn cagers)... But living in LA County you really need to ride due to traffic... I soooom miss my 06.... It was loaded... and I was able to push it as hard as I wanted with no real fear of dumping it (can't with my 08... I would cry)... I spend most of my time at Willow Springs.... Street and Big... |

So confused with this my 06 was nothing like my 08 two different bikes in my opinion, the 08 is brilliant the 06 just couldn't do the job it nearly killed me

| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade Agreed... The 06 is no match for the 08.... But dumping my 06 trying to push it hard at the track is a lot cheaper than dumping my baby 08... If I am not pushing it and chasing that clock then I feel like I am wasting my efforts and am not running at the best of my ability... I don't want to be half-a$$ing it.... |

| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade So true but as has been said previously with mechanical adjustments you can get the 06 up to racing speck, me thinks money isnt really a problem with you

| Re: My Humble little 08 Blade Ah yes... I'd probably ride more too if i had the traffic problems of LA. As it stands, it takes me longer to gear up than to ride to work.
On the track, I don't chase the lap times. I ride as fast as I'm comfortable and call it quits when I feel the fatigue setting in. Can't really afford to bust up my CBR or myself.
Willow looks like an awesome track I would really like to run out there sometime.
I'm very surprised to hear that the 08 is that much better than the 06. I can hang with most of the new bikes on my 954, which is part of the reason I'm in no hurry to 'upgrade.' |

I've also learned a lot from these guys by trying to keep up and talking to them afterwards.
I LOVE THE TRACK!!!
By the by, if you ever get out to Ohio, you must ride Mid-Ohio. It is a wonderful track and very challenging. |
