Went riding for a couple hours with him and a couple of my other buddies. Forgive their choice of bikes

Yeah, I think he was having a problem with that on the early sets (like mine) but switched to a different bolt later on.

I acutally like that Buell. I think it would be one of a dozen or so machines taking up residency in my garage were I independently wealthy. Kinda neat methinks.

Thanks for the pics. And oh, I need to know if fivestar violated the speed limit -even by one mile per hour- at any time during the ride.

Those are some great roads. I've been going on them for almost 3 years. Took a while to learn 'em since there's usually gravel or a car in front or something else going on. But those few times that you can make a good run, boy does it feel good afterwards!!

Chain: As far as that Buell goes, it's actually a pretty impressive little machine. The fuel tank is in the frame, the oil is in the swingarm, comes with SS brake lines, D207ZR rubber, fully adjustable suspension, it's fuel injected, etc. It doesn't quite make the power that our bikes do, but the torque numbers are up there. I think he's putting out around 65-66ft lbs of tq.

Thanks again for the directions. As soon as I figure out this new camera, I'll post the couple of pics I took. I think your's turned out better though.

Yea, my life sucks, got called into work (all freaking weekend) - worked off and on till 2:00am this morning. *Let me know if you guys meet up again.

ps - I guess I would have been the oddball with full leathers on!!! *You squids! * (j/k) Although it was sunny, you guys had to be freezing on the highway. It was down right cold yesterday, not to mention the wind.

Re: Met up with fivestar929

HD: We rode all the way down through the parks to the Blossom area, and then back up through B-ville metroparks.

SD: It was chilly alright, but not too bad after we went numb We didn't really go on the freeway, pretty much stayed on back roads.

I'm sure we'll be riding again soon, I can't this coming weekend 'cuz I'll be working but I don't think I have anything the weekend after.

I can't this weekend b/c I'll be moving.

(Insert thread jack here) Yes that's right, my loan and everything went through and I take posession of my house on Friday!

Gots me a garage! Went to Sears and got a 3 ton floor jack, jack stands, creeper seat, wheel chocks, and a fender mat for $100 bucks! What a deal considering they were selling just the jack for $99. Good thing too, b/c I need to do brakes on my car hella bad. And both cars need oil changes.
