It sounds political to me and obviously someone's palm didn't get greased well enough. |

That's what happened to the Park City Classic out here. They held it one year with plans (and an initial permit/OK from the City) for four more for a total of five years, but a month or so before the second race it was all cancelled.
It was a really good event, too. A nice public street course and very well attended. I forget the numbers, but I know that attendance was ~150% of expected.
But that didn't matter, nor did the positive economic impact, once some councilman decided his palms were too dry. |

| Re: Cape Breton TT cancelled There was a real good write up in one of the American rags about that awhile back (when it was a go). I thought that it was an awesome idea to have a TT so close to America.
Didn't have an idea it was going to be cancelled, the article sounded like it was a done deal.
oh well...
