Anyone wanting to go to the Dragon?

Ive been wanting to go ride the Dragon again within 1-2 months and wondering if anyone wants to join me. None of my riding buddys have the time or money. Leaving from or around Indy. Ill prolly be trailing the bike down this time just cause there are so many nice roads down there. Well if there is any interest lets get something going.

I was thinking like 3-4 days. Also thinking about camping to cut down on costs.

I will be riding through Indy on Sept 1st 2006, going to the gap but we're riding.
I'm staying in Gatlinburg for two night found a good motel. cheap, $80 the first night $45 the second night.
PM me if your looking on gong that weekend. I know we'll be back in Madison, Wi sometime on Tues following Labor Day.
If you see a orange/black CBr954RR and a blue Triumph Sprint ST that's me abd a buddy, there'll be a GS850L and a CB750F with us. Say hi.
I should be cruising the Gap on Sat Afternoon and Sunday. There's a ton of good roads around there.
If you have time order a map from MadMaps.com well worth the money spent.

Yeah Labor Day is too early for me. Im thinking end of September weekend also. Well I guess we'll talk a little closer to that time and see whats up.

go to Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap and Cherohala Skyway, Graham Co, NC or dealsgap.com, Deal's Gap, North Carolina information guide, Dragon motorcycle tour, Great Smoky Mountains

It is at the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. It is HWY 129 that goes between the states. There is also alot of great riding out there besides the dragon.

I booked a room at the Two Wheel Inn. I recommend this place. Speak with Linda or Barry. They have a full enclosed room for your machine right next to your room.

Yes the Gap is great but there are a lot of roads around there including the Cherohala Skyway which is just awesome, it reminds me of like a super speedway. When I went in May we stayed at the Deals Gap Resort which was pretty cool but damn the rooms are small. But that really doesnt matter cause all you need to do in the room is sleep

A bunch of us were going to head up there this weekend but work got in the way. We are going to shoot for next spring sometime around May. We have about eight guys going right now, maybe more by the time May rolls around.
