SoCal Ride this Saturday 07/21

Well meet at Chevy's Restaruant off Weir Canyon Rd and the 91 Freeway, at 8:00 am, and roll out at 8:30. We'll ride Weir Canyon, to Serrano Ave, to Cannon till it ends at Santiago Canyon Rd. We'll take Santiago Canyon Rd. all the way non-stop till we hit I-5 in the city of Lake Forrest. In Lake Forrest we'll jump on I-5 north, to the 55 south, and exit Dyer Rd. From Dyer Rd. we'll turn right on Von Karmen Ave where we'll end the ride at K1 Speed.

At K1 Speed we'll hang out eat, drink, and have a little indoor go-carting fun. Below is a link showing the ride mapped out.

22 bikes showed up. Nice turn out, had a great time at K1!

I just rode that on Googlemaps. Few things I noticed: your freeways are HUGE

- the route looked fast with plenty of top end sweepers? - your roads look so clean and well-marked out - oh, and of course you all travel on the wrong side of the road!

What sort speeds are you limited to, or are you only restricted to your limiter/riding capability?

Hey Momma,

Yes the route does have a lot of fast sweepers, no real twisties to speak of. We drive on the right/correct side of the road. You must drive on the left/incorrect side of the road.

As far as speeds go. The posted speed limit for that area is 50 mph for most of it. We, (the main group), were going anywhere from 75 to 85 mph. However I did have one rider break from the group to go faster, he said he got up to 130 mph.
