Group ride today - featuring NR750

Well, I attended the group ride this morning. Cold in the beginning, 37 deg when I left my house at 8:15. As promised, the guy with the NR750 showed up and I took lots of pics. He bought it new in the crate from someone in Japan. He also bought a second one that is still over there - dayum! There was also an MV Agusta there - very nice looking bike also. Also met 2 .org members - ReaperAz and grassaholic, but lost touch with them when the group dispersed.

So, like I said, I have lots of neat pics of the NR750, the MV, some other really cool bikes, and shots of the crowd atop Kitt Peak. Just have no idea how to post them in the new "galleries" feature. Would like to do it in a slideshow format. All of the pics are close to 1 MB currently.

Help?

Note: For those of you who still doubt that I actually own a fireblade, ReaperAz can attest

It was great meeting you Bacchus...and yes for you non-believers, he actually owns a 954. grassaholic and myself went out to Kinney and Ajo to get fuel and somehow missed the fact that everyone was intending on going the other way...doh. By the time we realized it we were at the bottom of Kitt Peak and our friends were on the way down....bummer, didn't get to hit the corners.

Sorry Reaper, forgot to mention that it was great meeting both of you also. Let's keep in touch - both my PM addy and my email are available through the .org. Sorry you guys missed the mountain fun, but if you were all the way out there you should have given the road a go! BTW, a couple of friends of mine finally showed up just as I was ready to leave. They and one other guy all got tickets about 1 1/2 miles before the Kitt Peak turnoff from the Tohono O'odam (sp ?) police . My friend said they were doing 90 and got nicked for 83 (18 over - ouch!). I could just visualize the cops seeing all of these bikes flying by and thinking, let's just pull over and shoot some fish in a barrel...

Bumpity bump bump... Will someone please give me some "fool" proof instructions on how to post these pics in "galleries"?

Goodnight all...

Bachhy - click on the 'Galleries' link on the main page header, then when the Galleries page comes up there is a link just above the search box where you can upload photos.
Took me a bit when I uploaded mine earlier.

Re: Group ride today - featuring NR750

Thanks BDA - but do I first need to somehow magically resize these pics down to 25 KB? And if so, how?

edit: BDA, PM me with a short tutorial, if you don't mind...

I don't believe that Bacchus actually left his keyboard and went for a ride

Re: Group ride today - featuring NR750

Uh, that would probably be the problem ND4. For resizing I downloaded PowerToys for Windows XP a while back. I don't really have a photo editing program, other than "Paint". I need to research the software that came with my Nikon Coolpix 990 and see what that might offer. Meanwhile I will give "galleries" a look and see what kind of trouble I can get into.

So did the NR750 have a distinct sound?

tigerblade: To me it just sounds like a VFR, nothing super special, the exhaust note isn't loud at all either.

You've known me for how long, about three years I'd say, and you still think that someone has to piss in my breakfast for me to act like this???

Re: Group ride today - featuring NR750

For those who have not seen an NR feel free to check Bacchus' member gallery, he has a few pics in there as well as some of the other bikes there. If you look really close at one of the pics of the NR you can see Bacchus' 954 in the background(Red/Blk). One of the MV pics has my Sil/Blk 954 in the backgound as well .
