| Organizing a ride hi all,
I did not do much research at all for this but i feel like there aren't many organized LONG group rides(eg:across states) for people with sport bikes. Is that a result of sport bikes not being too comfortable for long term riding or just a lack of organization?
Would you guys enjoy going in a trans state ride?
If you happened to have organized a ride please give details and tell if it was enjoyable.
I think having one of these trips would be really awesome |

| Re: Organizing a ride I've done quite a few multi-state rides....they are a blast, you just have to get hooked up with the right groups |

| Re: Organizing a ride We usually stop about every hour or so, gas up or eat or bathroom or just to shoot the breeze for a little bit. Makes it nice and I never had any discomfort. All of our rides were full day rides, leave early morning, get back late night, and just do a "circle route" through some adjacent states. |

| Re: Organizing a ride Most of our group have sports bikes, K6 GSXR1000, 06 Repsol Blade, ZX 12, 1050 Speed triple, VTR1000, 07 600rr, my 954 Blade to name just a few and we go on week long rides regularly, plus we're all a bit long in the tooth as well. So I would say it's a lack of organization thing maybe. You can deffinately tour on a Sporty but in saying that some riders would surely be more comfortable on a tourer.

You could spend most of the day just leaving Texas. if you go the twisty route, you could spend a few days before you even get out. On the east coast, not really a problem as you have quite a few small states that are the size of counties elsewhere. |

The OEM 954 seat is a brick covered in vinyl. Went for the Corbin and love it. Might also invest in some Heli Bars as time goes on and the old body starts to stiffen up. But would love to keep the 954 forever. I just love the look on peoples faces when I pull up and there looking at the hot sports bike and I take the helmet of and they see the old fart thats riding it . Priceless.
