Draggin Jeans and the like

In preperation for getting the new bike, I have gone out and invested alot in getting gear, Helmet, gloved, etc.

Part of my purchase included 2 pairs fo Draggin Jeans (Kelvar sown into the critical areas making up about 60% coverage with Kevlar.). But the very first person I told about the purchase of the jeans said they were worthless. He had a mate that came off with them on and was "shreaded to pieces" (I thought it was am unnecessarily graphic description as well). So in the interests of getting a wider opinion of the effectiviness of these types of Jeans, I thought I would ask everyone for thier opinions.

So what do you guys think, are these jeans worth the $AU360 I spent on them or not?

Re: Draggin Jeans and the like

I have a pair of the black dragon jeans in a cargo pant, I can't say how they hold up in an accident from first hand experience, but I would imagine the material would tear easily compared to leather, but the kevlar lining is supposed to hold up fairly well.

If I ride I'm either in leather or my draggin jeans, the dragon jeans are much more practical if riding somewhere where you may need to be off the bike for a while.

Don't panic, they are worth the investment.

I have some and wear them for slow rides, to meet people, the leather for the real riding.
