| Disappointed in Vanson quality start rant:
My Vanson leathers are just over 2 years of age (just out of warranty). A wrist zipper and a cuff zipper have blown out. Now the fly zipper (sorry, BladeLadies) is going gunnysack. Grr.
end rant.
Thanks for the vent.
Love you all,
Bushrod |

| Re: Disappointed in Vanson quality I think they have zipper issues, bought a pair of gloves a few years ago and the 1st time I zipped them up,the zipper clasp broke.I replaced it with a ykk from a zipper repair kit and it's been fine since. |

| Re: Disappointed in Vanson quality Sorry to here about the problem w/ your Vanson. My Falcon nylon jacket is 5yrs old and damn near indescribable.
I found a local shoe repair place that I bring my leathers to for repairs. They work dirt cheap. -ted

| Re: Disappointed in Vanson quality Vanson used to use the ykk zippers. Maybe they've changed vendors? At any rate, since it's just out of warranty, perhaps they'll take care of you. I'd definitely ask. I've had two Vanson suits and they've both been great. |

Well....I did call Vanson and it looks like they'll take care me; at least to my satisfaction. Here's the deal.
There going to replace both wrist zippers, replace both ankle zippers, replace the wrist gussets with deerskin, replace the fly zipper, and replace the leather on the sleeves with perforated leather (my choice verses adding arm zipper vents). The cost here is $140.00, which seems reasonable to me.
I think I'll ask what they charge to add the 2 additional zippers to the pants and jacket so the faux-full zip effect can be achieved. My Traveller pants are kind of falling off of me, now, so the two front zippers would be nice to hold them up....maybe sort of. Plus, if I later get a set of their new sport bike pantaloons then the zippers will already be on the jacket. And viola....poof....it will be a Good Thing!!
