An ’03 SPIDI Viper in Black/Anth/Silver. *

First, I had to special order this suit which took 3 months for me to get this in. (Lockhart Phillips decided to cut costs by not importing ladies suits). Such a shame. *
I picked SPIDI because the quality and fit. I tried on a Hook suit and it fit very well – but didn’t have the color I wanted at the time.

PROS: From the moment I put this on, the fit was all there. The armor stuck to me well, leather thick, but soft and rubbery. Love the keprotec stretch panels under the arms and *crotch area making even your first sit on the saddle pretty comfy. You can actually move around! A feature I like is the soft armor in forearms, shins and outer thigh area. It was cut to sit and crouch on the bike which is very nice. Throwing a knee out in the corner wasn’t too difficult first time out with the suit either, though it still needed to be broken in. Sliders look nice and thick hoping to actually use them this summer.
And, it’s perforated too! (the suit, not sliders).

CONS: Not as snug as I expected. Roomy in the torso, belly area! I could fit a loaf of bread in there. Sitting on the bike, I had extra leather bunching in my midsection and lower stomach area as if SPIDI might have mistaken this for a man’s suit. A well-endowed man. No worries as I’m still looking for a back protector. Should fit a bit better after that’s in.
No pockets! Well, there’s one – inside the pant. I had to unzip my pant to get to my ATM card for gas and I ended up with a couple of admirers after that particular incident.
Oh and theres a small hump in the back. I think it serves no purpose other than to look good.

Overall, I love this suit! It was well worth the wait for me as it’s hard to find a ladies suit cut just right. Most are made for shorter women so while sitting on a bike, you feel the suit pulling you back. Waist area on suits come up to just below my ribs. The Viper fit just fine and I felt very confident that this thing was really going to protect me in case of a mishap.
I even rode better.
Some might say it made me look fast!

Well, gain a few pounds already. As Chain put it so eloquently in an earlier post:

Don't know about the well endowed part - I'm only 9 1/2 '.

Nice review,I have been looking for a suit for my gal,trying to get her involved in the sport but want to make sure she wears proper equipment.I always wear full gear regardless of how hot.In regards to back protector I am very happy with spidi air back,only drawback being the sweat factor in summer.I have heard good things about actionstations,bohn,and helimot(helimot is located in san jose,so might be a way to go-lots of other tasty gear there too.)On another note I was also unable to post in review section,must have to be some kind of bigshot admin or somethin to post there.

Nice suit, RC! The back protector will use some of the room you have so don't worry about that. The hump will help keep your head from slamming into the road in the event you land on your back. It's a good thing to have. Try it at home, you'll see what I mean.

I noticed the same thing with my Fighter suit. The two-piece is cut for your typical, beer-drinking American man. As a result, the belly offers too much room and the pants would fall off of me.

I have a 2-piece JR Blaster suit for the tracks and I love them. The pants fit very well and the jacket bunches up like urs(more cheese cakes coming up for me). Got used to it now.
You do get a superman feeling when you put them on after a long time along with boots and gloves.

i use it.. it takes up a little more room than most back protecters..
and stay cool.. even on the 100+ thill days.

take your suit with you to helimots and they'll fit you with one and even custom make one your size if it needs to be.
