IT HAS ARRIVED w/pictures 7/31

As a total surprise to me last night my new Suomy arrived. Chris at Indysuperbike sent it without letting me know and what a great day it turned out to be. I had ordered and recieved my Spec1R Pitt Extreme weeks ago and it turned out to be too big. After seeing it in person I was a bit turned off by it(color scheme). SO I returned it as Ihad told them I would if it was too big and had originally asked them to order me a medium. Well as it turns out that medium Pitt was on backorder or something and wouldn't be getting to him for awhile. SO we dicussed other options and I found out that he had a limited production Extreme in the Ben Bostrom scheme with the red background. I alomst lost it cause I wanted that in the first place but I figured since he just started wearing it that it wouldn't be out for some time. Too my surprise they had 2 of the 16 allocated to the U.S. I spoke with Chris lastThursday and the shop was closing for the weekend to go to Mid-Ohio...so bummer I figured I wouldn't be seeing the new helmet until sometime next week. Chris said he'd send me the tracking number when they send it. Well I'm on my way home from work last night and my mom calls and says that the UPS man just showed up, I thought no big deal cause he never sent me a tracking number so I figured it wasn't my helmet. Then she says it's got Indysuperbike tape on the box. Seems as though Chris wanted to surprise me a bit and it sure worked.

Re: IT HAS ARRIVED.....Part1

Sorry Bake...no pics yet as I was out the door as soon as I took a shower and put it on my head. My first impressions are that the thing LIGHT WEIGHT...I mean really light weight. Since this one is a medium the shell size is smaller then the shell size of the large and it looks pretty small. The graphics are much better then that of the Pitt Extreme. Some of the graphics didn't quite match on the Pitt. The Bostrom is spot on. In lining is the softest I have felt and feels really nice when on. The cool factor of the Iridium shield really fits the helmet well. (As you will soon find out that Iridium shield is THE BEST I have ever seen.) More later.

yeah I was thinking of getting either the smoke or iridium for my spec-1r guareschi, but I wanted to know what its like to look through the iridium, does it tint stuff and specific color or does everything look clear or is it a rainbow, I have no clue so fill me in
you're gonna love that thing, after spending the $430 on mine I was hoping I wouldn't be dissappointed and it hasn't let me down yet, but I do miss the forehead went on my HJC but everything else makes up for it especially the mouth vent. originally when I got it I was kinda pissed that a $500 helmet fogged up but then came to realize its just my glasses not the visor (never fogs) and the Extreme has to be better than my regular version, its lighter than isn't it?

Yep. I figure if it enables more cage drivers to acknowledge your existence, there's less chance that it will have to fulfill it's 'other' mission.
