An aerostitch is an acceptable alternative to leather. Though leather is best, I'll concede it isn't necessarily the best for riding in winter when it's raining.

More than half leather, full hard armor, zip out liner. Protects better than the other mesh jackets, yet breathes better than most leather. |

| Re: Opinions needed in search for perfect textile jacket I didn't miss anything.
I think "commuting to work" or "going for a quick spin" justifies the money for good protection. Especially since this is statistically the time you are most likely to crash.
Your ass not mine.
I told you I'd get on my , and yet I was still goaded. I blame you all. |

| Re: Opinions needed in search for perfect textile jacket I fully agree that leather is best. However, I stand by my statement from whichever of the hundred threads about these jackets that the Mach2 jacket is every bit as protective as some of the lower end leather jackets out there. Maybe even more so.
While I only wore it a few times on the street, I never felt my saftey was compromised.
I have worn it a few times offroad now, and while the cut isn't quite right for the offroad world, it doesn't feel too bad.
I would never wear a full mesh jacket on the street, but this jacket is an excellent compromise. |

| Re: Opinions needed in search for perfect textile jacket Canada doesn't get that hot why not go perforated leather? You can get something low key for work that is still protective.
