| Re: face shield holder Not to sound "White Trash", but why don't you stick it in a sock and put it in your "trunk"?
I use the Icon helmet bag for my extra faceshield and stick it in my tankbag, but if I didn't have those items, I'd take my own advice... Just a thought to save you some money. |

| Re: face shield holder Matter of fact Scout, I used to use a sock, but for seven bucks the Roadgear item is less of a fight to get the shield in and out of. |

| Re: face shield holder Just wear sunglasses during the day - much smaller, less hassle to change, and easier to store in the trunk. I remember there was a thread about sunglasses vs tinted/clear shields, but I've always gone the sunglasses route. |

| Re: face shield holder and someone of us wear glasses anyway so its either get prescription sunglasses or the tinted visor, the tinted visor was a lot cheaper than another new pair of glasses. and if you go the sunglasses route there's always problems with some helmets. I tried on a new Shoei last week, had some cool sorta dragon ont it $500 but there was no chance I could get my glasses in there so that eliminates it for me since I can't go around riding without glasses. I like to be able to see stuff not just a big blur.

I currently have a Shoei X-SP II and wear Rudy Project "something-or-other" model, and have no complaints. I've never had any issues with other helmets while wearing Oakley or Rudy Project glasses. |

| Re: face shield holder I had a shop owner tell me that a few helmet manufactures are making visor inserts , were originally to reduce fogging but you can get smoked and tinted effects as well. The flat flexible inserts take up less room and are easily put in and out. Yet to see them in action but could be a option. Must be something like this
The same guy who told me it also said it probably wasn't a good idea to have anything under your arm during a accident because if you bruise glands or something under there it can really **** you up. not sure if this is the case and probably should have listened closer to him to get the real deal but he said he was bruised in the same area during an accident and stuffed him up for quite a few years. Anyone know what this might be? |
