| Re: HJC Helmets? Well I bought an HJC from terra powersports I believe it is the AC-11 Yikes. Paid around 140 for it. Overall the helmet is ok. I've always had HJC helmets so I know the fit and quality of them pretty good. This model was a bit tight on fit and the construction is so,so. The Visor is difficult to pull up and fogs at almost any tempurature. As for sound, yes it is somewhat loud. The thing I really didn't care for was wind shifts. For some reason My arai seemed to stay positioned on my head and not shift around going down the freeway. My HJC shifts around and vibrates a bit. Now you would probably say its too large but my HJC is a small, and it fits a bit tight. Personally Im looking for a bit better helmet, this one is a very good backup, but by no means do I see it as a primary helmet. |

I'm not positive but I bet they do wind tunnel testing.

Here is the write up on the Racer-1. I was seriously considering this helmet and then found an Arai RX-7 on E-bay, brand new from a dealership that couldn't sell it for cheap ($360). Still, the Racer-1 was going to be my choice. http://www.helmetharbor.com/streethe...on_racer_1.htm
-Shrub | I have the KBC (VR1 Euro). Money was not an object when I was shopping. I bought the KBC because it was the only one that fit my head right. I don't find it noisey unless I have all the vents open at triple digit speeds, but at those speeds I don't really notice until I back off as I am concentrating on what I am doing. |

| Re: HJC Helmets? I have had two HJCs. An AC10 and now an AC11. Both are noisy. Doesn't bother me, I wear ear plugs. Both vent well and do not bake the brain in the summer months. Liners are removable. Shields come off quickly, levers. Replacement shields are less expensive than some. I appreciated my first one enough to get another. When I'm riding in town, I split duty to keep the liners in better shape. Not bad stuff by any means.
