MotoGP One-Piece Compression Suit review

I ordered a one-piece MotoGP Compression Suit from Flatout. Must say service was great, the price was better and Slava was very helpful on picking out a suit size. Will shop from Flatout again! Thanks Slava!

Here is my personal review of the MotoGP suit. I haven't worn it at the track, but I will be out on January 16th, so I will update you guys after the trackday.

I've only owned two other suits in my life and they were both Spidi two-piece suits, so they are the only one I can compare the MotoGP too.

First off the MotoGP suit feels like it weighs next to nothing, on the bathroom scale it came in at 8lbs. The MotoGP leather feels so supple and thin compared to the Spidi suit. In fact my 2 years old Spidi suit feels like it's still stiff and new compared to the MotoGP suit. I tried on the MotoGP suit and it felt like a second set of skin, since it was so supple and lite. I felt clunky wearing the Spidi suit, but the MotoGP suit was like I was wearing just a pair of shorts and a tee shirt (felt like a squid).

I sat in the livingroom in the suit for a good two hours watching TV with wife. She was laughing her ass off every time she looked over at me, sitting in the Lazyboy with the suit on.

Let's just say that the suit is very comfortable.

This was the first time I have ever worn a one-piece suit, so I did notice that it was a little tight in the crotch area, when standing up. It was a little harder to get the suit on and off, due to the fact it was a one-piece. The suit felt fine in the crouched position on the bike or sitting in the Lazyboy.

When I got on the bike to test out the MotoGP suit, Basically I was able to move around on the bike like I was not even wearing a suit. The suit didn't hamper any movement or bind any joints. I can't wait to test it out on the track!

On the fit side of the review, I ordered a size 44 MotoGP suit. I stepped up from a size 42 Spidi suit. I'm 5'10", 185lbs and have a 32" waist. I'm longer in the body and a little shorter and stockier in the legs, the Asian side of me showed up big time. Like I said above the suit fits great overall, just a little tight in the crotch area when standing, but I heard that's normal for one-piece suits.

Overall, I rate the suit a big

Thanks for the info K9. I hope you won't find out anytime soon, but I'm curious how such a light weight suit will stand up against abrasion.

I guess you didn't get what I meant Slava. Kangaroo is very light and just as protective as cowhide

Well, I got to try out the new MotoGP suit at the track!

Man the suit feels and fit great. It got up to the mid 70's here during the afternoon sessions, so I got to test out the ventilation in the suit. The suit did not hamper movement on the bike at all.

I'll recommend this suit to anyone that wants a good priced suit that weighs next to nothing!

Oh, yeah, ditto on that! The only thing I got to drive around today was the snowthrower. At least it's the faster red one!

That's a great price! Kangaroo, huh? That's more abrasion resistant than cowhide. Nice suit!

Thanks K9. I have to see if they do custom work. The don't list "Newfie" size there.

They DO have my size in 2 piece suits though, and at a decent price. I just have to decide now whether I want one piece or two. I'm leaning towards 2 piece, but not sure.
