| Re: Garmin V Thanks for all your useless help Deez I picked it up for $240 tonight.
I figured it would come in handy for my daily commute and all my creative ways to avoid traffic as well as on the bike in a few months so I spent my christmas $$ |

| Re: Garmin V I have a V. I bought it for $500 a couple years ago when they first came out. Loved it ever since, and it has saved my ass a couple of times. I have mine mounted on the 929. I guess I will have to take some pictures of the custom homemade mount. Maybe this weekend. I used the tank bolts and the garmin base so I can just slide it on and off. Works great, but if you plan on riding with it, get the little battery adapter/shim for bikes. The batteries vibrating can lose connection and the unit shuts off. A real pain in the ass if it's dark, you are lost, and the next turn was just a couple hundred feet...
