| Re: Securing my 954 I'll be travelling to CO in few weeks and wondered if anyone had any ideas on temporary/portable security alarms they use. I have a disc lock and a 6ft. kryptonite cable that I plan on connecting the two other bikes going with me to mine, but I was curious if there were any portable alarms, something to make a noise if some tampers with the bikes. Are they Xena disc locks with alarm any good? Anyone using one? I'm mostly concerned with our hotel stays, so anything would be fine. |

| That's on the top of the list. Surely we can fit a 954, RC51 and GSXR 1k in the room? |

| Re: Securing my 954 This is just my opinion, but I see no point in spending a lot of money on security devices for a bike since it's so easy to steal. *Any device is only a deterrent, so I think one is about as effective as the next.
If you can you lock all 3 bikes together that should help. I figure if someone can pick up all three of them together there's not much you can do to stop them. |

You can fit two in a motel 6 room, but I don't know about 3. You should probably get 2 rooms. I always take off my gear and park the bike around the corner while checking in, then roll that sucker in there when nobody is looking |

| Re: Securing my 954 Locking all of them together, preferably through the frames, should work pretty well. If you can't get them in a room, try to get a room at a motel where it can at least be right outside your window. Also, if possible, a room around the backside of the motel, so it's not visible from the street. |

| That's the initial game plan. If someone steals three bikes that are going to be locked together with mutliple cable & disc locks, they can have them. |

| We are riding...800+ miles, ONE WAY, on the comfy seats of a 954 and RC51. I'll be switching bikes every so often as I think the RC is more comfy than my 954. We also have cruise controls on the bike, the kind that clamp down. Used it the other day and loved it. Even during aggressive canyon riding, you don't even notice it's mounted. |
