| Best helmet bag for carry-on? Looking for a rugged helmet bag to carry-on. I'm leaning toward the Chase Harper...anyone have any experience with it?
Any others to consider?
Edit:
Ended up getting the Chase Harper with a birthday gift card...
Pros:
Nice semi-rigid foam on all sides, fleece inside. Has loops so it will double as a tail pack...and a small slot for the chin strap to poke out if you want to use your helmet lock. Seems like it will do well in an overhead bin, or under the seat...
Cons:
A bit small maybe, zipper is a bit snug especially with an extra faceshield inside.

Don't know anything about their helm bag, but most of their car stuff is quite nice.
Checked Simpson? |

| Re: Best helmet bag for carry-on? You could always buy a pilot's helmet bag. Very functional, plus you'd look cool... |

| Re: Best helmet bag for carry-on? I have an Arai helmet bag. It's well padded with felt on the inside to avoid scratches, and can be carried as a backpack as well. |

| Re: Best helmet bag for carry-on? When I did my UK trip I used my RKA tail bag to cary the helmet, then carry my stuff once I got there. It worked great and no need to buy anything else. It also was able to carry a few other things I didn't want to go into checked luggage.
Sorry for the late reply, missed this before. Have fun on whatever tour you are doing ..... IOM this summer? Maybe a Czech visit? ... if so, I know someone who could give you pointers? |

| Re: Best helmet bag for carry-on? Cool. I had a blast the 2 times I rented there. First time I hired (rented) from a little place downtown London who caters to the city crowd. Second time hired VFR800s from Fowler's out west (Birmingham? I think) and toured the big island.
Be sure to get in touch with some of the UK crowd who can suggest routes, or even show you around a bit. On my tour we had many VFR listers who volunteered to show us their part of the country. Very cool and no worries of getting lost ... or being on the wrong side of the road ... or is that right side? |

| Re: Best helmet bag for carry-on? That's why the bag has a zipper....so you can see out while riding...
