alpinestars track pants fitting?

Well the local shop finally had the sizes in for me to try on. I tried on the alpinestars track pants in sizes 48 and 50. Well the 48's sure fit tight, the leg diameter was good, padding placement was spot on, however the waist was quite tight and I still didn't have a back protector on yet, I also didn't care for how tight the crotch area was, really crammed my berries in there and flattened everything out, looked like I wasn't even a man! Now the 50's seemed a bit too loose, in the leg area (thigh) I could fold the leather, the knee padding felt floaty and too low however the waist was good and still had some room for growth + back protector and my crotch area was a bit more comfortable. Now these are all new leathers and I would figure they will stretch out over time, right? Should I go for the 48's and plan on them stretching a bit? How much room is needed for a back protector? Overall the 48's fit better I guess I could have a leather shop add an inch of waist to them along with the crotch area. How tight should these pants be the 48's looked skin tight! My wife was like oh hell yeah come here boy! HAHAHA.....

Were you sitting in a chair with the 50's on? Remember you will be closer to that position when riding

Should be skin tight but comfortable. Tight is better than loose (that's what she said..no that's what I said!) when you sliding across the pavement. I love'd mine, fit fine....no berry problems here and I'm a tall guy. I got 4 full seasons (1street 3race) out mine. I assume you know but AS gear is all Euro sizes...

Re: alpinestars track pants fitting?

Yeah I did the sit in a chair thing, I squatted down, did all the "tests", heck I wore each pair at the store for 20+ minutes. The 48's did technically fit and actually fit good but I seriously doubt I could fit a back protector in there. The 50's like I said were comfortable around the waist, but not nearly as tight and did have some loose areas. I'm one of those chicken leg guys so the amour on the 50's moved around a bit too much for me but the waist felt right. I was just wondering how much stretch these might have over time. Would there be enough to go with the tight pair and hope they stretch enough, that's kinda my question. Would you say having tight leathers and having a leather shop fix the waist be the best route over just buying the more comfortable pair? Yes I know they're euro sizes. I could always go the "loose some weight" route, but then if I gained weight, there's now way I would fit into the 48's. Oh the dilemma!!!! I just hate how expensive this stuff is then you have to worry about sizing, etc etc etc. It's kind of a pain in the ass or in my case the crotch! HAHA.

If the 48s are not comfortable go bigger...but if the 50s armor is moving about that could be a problem. Mine stretched some in the knees but not much.
