| Re: WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! Sorry Arai! Regarding AGV fit... I don't think I've tried an Arai that fit my head right, whereas the Shoeis have (last Shoei is an x-11) The AGV Titech fits me even better than the Shoei. Been extremely happy with my AGV so far. |

Some are plastic some are fiberglass based. In a fiberglass helmet the resin, weave and layering will affect performance. In all helmets the construction of the crush liner will be different (density, shape and fit) Then there is the soft liner that goes against your head. Further there is hardware attachment and venting.
In short despite the similiarity in appearance most helmets are different.

Couldn't tell ya. My first helmet was an HJC. My second and third helmets were both Arai. I like the Arai a lot better. |

| Re: WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! Sorry Arai! It is great to see pricing posted now but Flip F4i and I got awesome deals on new RX7RR's before the announcements came out. I've been using Arai's and AGV's exclusively for a while and like both-the Arai is jus soo much lighter and quieter, I considered the Kagayama X-11 because the fit was good and the chin was not too big. I've seen a relationship between broken colarbones and helmets with big chin areas like the other Shoeis and some HJC's, that steered me more towards another arai or an X-11. Shop around, some shops are really eager to earn business. |
