| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit FIT!
There are good brands out there but be sure it fits (the woolier crowd is more limited than the twigs ). Also check for number of seams and whether the existing seams are single, double or rolled (worse to better).
If you post general weight, height and build their may be someone that is similar that can recommend a specific brand.

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit Alpinestars makes some good stuff, too. RS Taichi is good, but 2 pieces are hard to find in the US. Although, you can get them shipped from the UK! |

A one piece on the street is a pain in the butt when you stop for lunch or whatever. If you ever plan on doing a trackday, get a 2 piece with a full circumference zipper, not the short one that only goes across the back of the pants/jacket. The full zipper will be a requirement at a trackday. |

Did you check out newenough.com? They have 2 piece alpinestars at pretty good prices, and have real good customer service. Alpinestars Motorcycle Apparel |

My race leathers have no perforations and it is OK with me, you get used to it after a while ... I'm also up in Michigan. If you ride in cold weather, you'll need something to block the perfs ... so it depends on your preferences and which compromise you are satisfied with.
Just my opinion |

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit I have a Spidi 2-piece that I've been very happy with. Down in it 3 times and though it did tear one seam, it's held up pretty well.

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit In the south go perf! In cooler weather you can get a fleece that is wind resistant to wear underneath. In july/august perf is mandatory.

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit Look at New Enough as suggested.
I have almost always found the best deals here:
MAW http://www.mawonline.com/
Their shipping is SLOW. So don't get anxious if it doesn't ship right away.
I like two piece suits. |

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit Check out the sizing good. Looks like the e-bay listing you posted, the size may be too small for you. Just look closely at that before buying.
What color are you looking for?
I have a JR blaster jacket and pant suit that I used to have for street riding and it worked well. It is red and black if you are interested. |

I plan to get a pref suit, but I want to be able to use it on winter trackdays at Jennings. |

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit Make sure it connects with a 360 ykk zipper. Do not get a jacket that has the Zipper connected to a mesh liner. you want it connected to leather! IF it is connected to a mesh liner you risk some road rash when it folds up on you. |

You can get very beat up if the suit doesn't fit properly.
Seams are a big concern after having my Joe Rocket suit's seams fail on me. I replaced it with the suit that had the least amount of seams that I could find and that fit me the best: RSTaichi Zero.
However, in my searches, testing and otherwise checking all the shops, the Spidi stuff is great. My buddies have some Spidi gear and it's great stuff.
For a 2pc suit: I'd look at the RSTaichi Viper Dash 2pc suit. A very nice suit that's decently priced for its quality level.
A suit is something I wouldn't buy online unless I'm providing measurements or already have experience knowing the suit fits perfectly. |

| Re: Debating a 2pc leather suit i dont know how the other sizes run, but a local shop had a moto gp 1 piece so i tried it on. it was a 48. loose up top and extremel loose in the knee/legs. i am looking at the sidi boots also. i tried on a set of alpinstars size 12s, and they were too loose. at least i have a starting point now. my biggest problem is beaing able to actually be able to put my hands on a suit, so i am going to have to go off of what you all say on here. |
