Re: Komodo leathers

I have a business card given to me by the VP of operations for the company. I met him at a trackday and told him of the woes of finding a good fitting suit. If I can find it I'll PM it to you. Call them and tell them you didnt get any pucks, more than likely they will hook you up. FYI their pucks are kinda soft.
That is the same suit I have (see avatar) except mine has a lot more red in it. You will find that on hot days its actually cooler with the suit on than with it off. They tried to design it for those who race in the southern US.
I had one failure with my suit.....well kinda. My sleeve evidently came to rest on the hot as hell midpipe when doing a rider swap in the middle of an endurance race. I had the leathers half on with the sleeves hanging loose at my waist. The zipper melted but the surrounding leather was unhurt. I saw a MotoGP kangaroo suit that suffered the same kind of incident. The "leather" on that suit was burnt and shriveled up from the heat. Take that however you want.

Please do, the # that is.

I took off my pucks off my other suit for now and will last a good while. I used to drag a knee alot and then changed my body position and got faster and drug a knee less. I dunno.

O.T. - Do you have pictures of the different positions. I believe what you are saying. And understand it. But, I would like to see it, if you have them.

Re: Komodo leathers

This was in 2006 at grattan again. I have some pics with the knee down dragging hard but I knew the camera was there and wanted some pics with the knee down. My style is still quite the same but I just do not put the knee down as far and really don't worry with it and keep it tighter to the bike.

Re: Komodo leathers

That's great. Thanks.
If you are as fast/or faster in the second set, then you really were forcing the bike down unnecessarily to drag knee.
